"Tujhe koi idea nahi main kitna dar gaya tha Bacha! Jaan atak gayi thi. Itni choti si harqat se kuch bada sa nuksaan hojata toh kya karte hum?" Neil spoke admonishingly and Abhir just hid himself in his Chachu's embrace.

"Shukar mana ki wahan main tha aur tujhe help karpaya. Aur main tha isliye tu aisa hain. Agar Bhai ne dekha hota toh woh tujhe kabhi jaane nahi dete. Woh pareshan hote, tu exams miss karta aur pata nahi kya kya." Neil briefed the possible reaction.

"Aur agar galti se teri aankh mein ya koi sensitive jagah kuch lag jaati toh tujhe sports se door rehna pad sakta tha. Do you want either of the scenarios?" Neil questioned softly and Abhir shook his head while still sticking to the embrace.

"Chal abhi hogaya. Main nahi hoon gussa. I am sure tu itna samajhdaar hain ki yeh sab samjhane se pehle hi tu samajh gaya hoga. Hain na?" Neil enquired and Abhir pulled back. He nodded and Neil noticed the slight pink on his ear.

He caressed it and said, "Sorry Champ. Maine bahut khadoos sa behave kiya na?" He reflected back on his actions and Abhir shook his head in a no.

"Chup rahega aur sar hilate rahega ya kuch bolega bhi?" Neil probed.

Abhir spoke, "It was an accident Chachu. Main steps dekh kar hi kud raha tha woh bhi safely. Maine us aadmi ko observe nahi kiya ki woh kab meri line mein aagaya. Main phir nahi karunga aisa. Promise." Abhir explained.

"Yeh hui na baat. Tu aise phir se mat kar kyunki tab tujhe aur mujhe donon ki band bajegi." Neil responded.

"Aap ki kyun band bajegi?" Abhir asked curiously.

"Shakal toh dekho teri. Meri band bajne ki baat se kitna glow kar raha hain." Neil scoffed but Abhir gave him a look.

"Acha sun. Abhi tu dubara yeh repeat karega toh mujhe bura lagega ki maine tujhe bachaya Bhai se aur baat bhi chupayi. Phir mujhe guilt hoga ki kaash maine bataya hota...toh aaj tu yeh phir se nahi karta. Aur main jaake Bhai se sab boldeta. Phir woh teri class lenge per meri tho dhulaayi pakki." Neil elaborated and Abhir laughed out.

Aradhna who came there a minute back but waited to see where the conversation headed, also couldn't hold back. Neil pouted as they both high fived each other.

"Bilkul aisa hi hoga. I am sure." Aradhna chipped in. Abhir hugged Neil and moved back to his seat while Aradhna took hers.

"Thanks Di" Abhir thanked her for being so perceptive and Aradhna just ruffled his hair. Much to Neil's amusement, Abhir didn't pull back.

That meant only one thing, that Abhir was truly grateful, and he did accept Aradhna heartfully in the shortest span of time.

Neil was a witness to the transformation that Roohi and Aradhna's bond underwent. Abhir never got enough time to bond with Aradhna and he never expected them to get comfortable so soon. He was only grateful to Mahadev for all the right reasons and also to Aradhna for being so accommodating and amazing.
