Manya looked up just because her heart asked her to and she was shocked to see Anya standing there with dissent clearly visible in her eyes. Manya wasn't expecting her to be there, after she carefully tucked her in. She wasn't able to make out why Anya had that expression on her face in the first place. Wasn't that supposed to be Manya's domain after the stunt she pulled?
Anya turned around and started racing down the stairs in a jiffy making Manya run out of her skin to get a hold of her. Manya's heart skipped a beat seeing her carelessly descending the stairs but she rushed to stop her before she injures herself. She managed to get a hold on Anya before she ran out of the door and Manya tugged her away from the door. Anya was dragged into the room harshly and she was made to sit on the bed there. She got up again to run away but this time around, Manya lost her control.
"Baith udhar chup chap. Ek inch bhi agar hili toh mujhse bura koi nahi hoga." She warned making Anya flinch.
"Aap meri life dictate nahi kar sakti. Kabhi nahi kiya na. Ab bhi mat karo." Anya spoke back.
"Aaj bhi nahi karti. Are woh khayaal bhi nahi aata agar tum apni safety ko compromise nahi karti." Manya responded.
"Aapse aisa reaction nikalwane keliye ab mujhe kahi se kudna padega? Main mar jaungi na tab react karo aap." Anya angrily taunted making Manya raise her hand.
Anya closed her eyes but to her dismay, the slap didn't land and her heart broke a bit more. When she opened her eyes, they were blazing red and Manya's were no different. She was holding on to the last thread of patience with all her might unknown to the fact that the more she held back, Anya would break a bit more.
Manya could feel something was off with Manya but didn't know what. Anya never reacted this way before, atleast not when she was in her complete senses. Manya wanted to know what was going on with Anya and she did just that.Manya grabbed Anya and locked her in a hug forcefully. Anya fought but gave up after a point. She was broken enough to give in.
Manya gently palmed her hair and said, "Kya hua Onu? Kyun itni pareshan hain? Kyun itni naraaz hain mujhse? Mujhe batao na Bacha. Tu jo bologi main woh karungi. Tujhe kabhi gussa nahi karungi. Bas pareshan mat hoja meri jaan."
Manya tried to coax the truth out of her. Anya didn't know what to say to that. Manya pulled back, looked her in the eye and said, "Bolo na baby. Kyun kar rahe ho aisa? Mujhse koi galti hogayi? I am sorry na Bacha. Maaf karde Maana ko. Mujhse please door mat jaa aise. Main marjaungi tere bagair." Manya spoke through her tears and that moved Anya.
She couldn't hold it against Manya anymore and broke down in her arms. She let her mother comfort her until she felt much much better. Once she felt better, she couldn't stop thinking about everything that happened and evaluated her reaction along with Manya's reaction.
Anya couldn't help feeling bad for Manya's predicament. She was again repeating the same mistake she did 2 years ago. She was unintentionally creating distance by hiding things and buring them deep within herself. The woman in front of her always did everything she could for her. If she didn't do something, that is only because she didn't know any better.
