Chapter Twenty Seven: Encore avec Buu

Nitrate watched from a distance as Gohan and the monster -Super Buu- crashed into the desert land with a powerful explosion that rocked the earth. It earned a hiss from the Arcosian, the man thinking about how much it would hurt to land so hard on rough stone and itching sand.

The yellowed gusts vanished to reveal the Saiyan hybrid looming above a flattened Buu, who now attempted to stand up from the perfect hole that formed within the landmass with the shape of his beast-like visage.

Gohan: "Let's hurry this up; I've got other things I need to do rather than waist my time here."

Super Buu: "HRRRRG!!! No one makes fun of Buu!! I turn you into candy and EAT YOOOU!!!"

Gohan: "Just shut up and fight, dumbass."

Gohan's words had not been unexpected due to the knowledge Nitrate held about the boy's cold attitude during the original story. This was one of MANY problems that he wanted to address before continuing into Battle of Gods.

However, the time had not yet revealed itself, so he remained in place and watched the battle unfold; there would be a time for heroism  but right now it was more important to confirm whether or not he needed to change anything himself.

The battle commenced with Gohan raising an arm and slamming it into Super Buu's face, rotating it from the elbow to hit the monster sideway with a Ki-infused whack. The unexpected strike caused Super Buu to stagger away from the hybrid as he desperately tried to remain standing up.

Super Buu: "AAAARR.!!!"

Super Buu charged forward and threw his arm back with the intent of piercing his enemy's chest. Fortunately, with very little effort, Gohan dodged to the side before raising his leg to block a second attack, then responded with a punch of his own.

With another swing from Gohan's leg, he managed to throw Super Buu into the air. He rushed into the air to chase after him, spinning in the process as he delivered a devastating backhand against the pink creature's neck that send him flying back down.

Super Buu managed to slow himself down to land himself with less impact, but there remained both blood and scars decorating his body. He began to sweat profusely as the difficulty of standing finally reached him. The shivers in his legs were harsh.

Gohan: "Done already? How disappointing..."

Nitrate released a disappointed sigh, but it was not aimed towards Super Buu; he noticed how Gohan was acting EXACTLY THE SAME as he did in the old manga, allowing his pride to take control of him. It seemed he needed to get involved after all.

He continued watching them fight, noting how an unnoticeable amount of Super Buu's form began to leak away from his legs and travel beneath the rocks towards a nearby hill. It was likely waiting for the right opportunity to absorb Gohan and reach a new level of power, something he would not allow.

Gohan beat down on the magical entity with clear vileness and cruelty the likes of which Nitrate was sure he had never witnessed from the boy before. The onslaught lasted another ten minutes as two pink blobs continued their slowed approach.

Super Buu was barely standing. He gasped for air, holding onto his left side with one enlarged arm. There were multiple ebbs of blood running down his lips and eyes, but they continued regenerating with each second that passed between them.

Gohan: "I'm bored with you. It's time to end this."

Super Buu: "......Heheh..."

Gohan: "What? He's...laughing?"
