"My Ultimate Lifeform" (Shadow x Reader) ~ [Book 1]

Chapter 1: -IT'S GLOWING, IT'S GLOWING!-

It was a dark, stormy night. You were walking home from school, disappointed at that grade your math teacher gave you. A 80%... surely you couldn't tolerate that. Your perfect GPA was what got you into this school anyway. 

You squeezed the paper, hard and threw it away. Like literally just threw it into the air.

"Damn, that went far. Wonder who's going to get that quiz land on their front door.." You mumbled, catching your breath.

"Or rather, IN THEIR GODDAMN FACE!!!" Erica yelled, expressing her anger getting the test flown into her face by the wind.

"It isn't my fault Erica..." You blurted out, feeling butterflies swarm through your throat.

"Fine..." She took the paper and threw it out into the air again, and you watched it go fly through the wind.

"I'll see you tomorrow. By the way, make sure to practice for that history quiz we have coming up, alright?" You said, keeping a look out for your friend. She's been failing most of the tests in history lately, and you cared for her grades.

"Alright, I will!" Erica hugged you, giving you a fist bump, handshake, and walking away.

You pulled out your phone, continuing to head straight home. Your mom isn't normally here to pick you up. She's been very depressed lately. You sighed, breathing out in the cold air, looking at your visible breath. It was extremely cold, In the fall. Very odd weather.

What is this...

While you were heading home, you stumbled upon a diamond looking shape on the ground. It looked very odd... it was this cyan color. It looked like it was glowing a bit? Very strange. You decided to pick it up.

Come on... who wouldn't pick up a mysterious, glowing object off the ground? 

A loser wouldn't that's for sure!

You picked up the emerald, examining its features, however you felt you were being watched. It just felt that way. Maybe it was just the cold. Hmm.

It looked like this diamond shape... it kept glowing and it had this shiny feeling to it.. and it was SOOO HEAVY!!!

You put it back in your bag, and started to head home. 

It took you around 5 - 10 minutes to head home, since of the extra weight because of the emerald. You assumed it was an emerald, because it had this diamond shape. 

While you were heading home, you continued to feel like you were being watched. Maybe you were. I'm just the older version of Y/N, aka you. I still have no idea who I was being watched by. Perhaps you have any hints?? 

You continued to take small glances at the emerald, feeling its aura around you. It felt so powerful and like it was full of some kind of energy... It was amazing. 

You took the emerald home. Once you were at your house, you sat down on your bed, and opened your bag.

                                                    Your Bedroom ~ (Y/N's Bedroom/House) ~

You took out the emerald, taking several glances at it. It looked like it was glowing even more. Somehow, whenever you took the emerald closer towards you, it kept glowing.

It continued to glow so much, it was like a diamond. Some type of ancient object.

You kept feeling like you were being watched.. some kind of person was following you. You were curious to find out where this feeling was coming from. You didn't know what was going on.. but you felt like maybe this was the wrong choice.

Maybe you shouldn't have touched that emerald... 

"I should have just left that emerald there..." You mumbled, watching it glow as you continued to bring the emerald closer and closer to your chest.

It was like you were some kind of magnet, powering the emerald.

You started to sleep, as you headed to your bed, dozing off into what ended up to be a 1 hour nap.

You woke up, noticing the emerald floating in the air.

"OH MY GOD!!!" You yelled, screaming like you were screaming like your life depends on it.

Uh oh.

The emerald, you held it to your chest an hour ago. But this time, its starting to float. Your bed started to shake. The emerald was glowing so much and a cyan aura was appearing throughout the bedroom. 

The whole bedroom was floating... or so it seemed. And you were floating. It looked like powers were like shooting out of your head... 

It's so hard to explain Y/N.... 

Then.. you started to float too.

"HELP!!! MOM!!!!" You screamed, continuing to float in the air.

Your body was floating... it looked like you were going through some type of transformation...
