Chapter 10: The End Of Our Beginning [Pt. 2]

(Y/N)'s POV:

Me and Shadow walked in the cave, hand in hand. It was time to end this once and for all... to collect all the Chaos Emeralds. But.. will I ever see him again after? What will we do? And how will we generate enough chaos energy to get us out of there? Is Tails really right? There were so much questions to answer, but not enough time... 

"So.. how are we gonna break this entrance down? We'll need to find a way to get inside Sh-" Before I could say his name, Shadow punched the wall and rocks fell down to the ground, resulting in the cave opening for us.

Once we got inside the cave, rocks fell and blocked the entrance. "Help!!" I screamed, but I assume Tails already left us by ourselves. Me and Shadow looked at each other for a moment, and looked away right after. I fidgeted a lot around him and I'm not sure if he did the same. Shadow looked so confident. I'm not ready for this, though..

We started walking in the cave, and it was really dark and empty. We didn't talk to each other, and none of us said a word. A few minutes later, we found the final, purple Chaos Emerald. I tried to touch it, but Shadow blocked my hand with his to stop me from even getting close to it. I rolled my eyes and Shadow started to examine it.

"So.. how are we going to do this? Is there anything else that generates Love?" I sighed and walked over to him, grabbing his hands. Shadow looked away and it seemed he was contemplating something important. 

"SHADOW! Look at me." I put my hand on his chin, forcing him to look at me. But all he did was look away. I walked away from him and sat on the ground, crying as quietly as I could. Why won't he just do this? It isn't that hard.

"Shadow... please." I got up and grabbed his hand, gripping it on it tightly. "Lets do this... for Maria. We are reunited once more, right? Then please, lets do this. I'm ready when you are." I started to cry and Shadow got closer to me, wiping my tears. I smiled at him and he smiled back at me. 

We both started crying and I hugged him tight. This is the first time I've ever seen him cry like this. 

"Shadow.. I miss you so much. Lets do this. For Maria."

I closed my eyes, and before I knew it, Shadow kissed me softly on the lips. I kissed him tighter, blushing intensely and I put my hands on his waist. The Chaos Emerald started to glow brighter and the cave was suddenly filled with a purple, bright light. Shadow pulled away from the kiss and my face was an immense shade of pink.

I started to float and without my control, I somehow floated towards the Chaos Emerald and started to extract energy into it. The Chaos Emerald started to glow even more and Shadow grabbed it. I quickly fell out of my floating state and got out all the Chaos Emeralds that Tails gave me earlier. He gave it to me just incase we needed it to get out. Shadow transformed into a yellow, bright color somehow using all the chaos emeralds.

"Wanna try?" Shadow suggested and I nodded. I didn't know if I could go super like how he did, but I took his hand and tried to harness all the energy from the Chaos Emeralds. I started to float and my skin turned Yellow. My outfit changed into a white, sparkly dress somehow. I was manifesting that... can I make what I dream using the chaos emeralds? Noted!

I could see Shadow's blush on his cheeks and I giggled at him, tightening my grip on his hand. We broke the entrance to the cave using the Chaos Energy, and Eggman was right outside. 

"What's up, LOSERS!" Eggman cackled, sending all his robots to attack us. Me and Shadow got ready to attack, and that's when Sonic and his friends showed up.

"Come on guys! Wait for us!" Sonic laughed and waved his hand at us. Shadow and I both rolled our eyes and sync and got back into our fighting stance together. Sonic and his friends also got into a fighting stance. And that was when the battle started. 

Sonic did his spin dash into the Metal type of Sonic robots that were coming in. Tails tried to program the robots to get on our side, and some of the robots started to fight alongside us. Amy used her hammer and hit some of the robots and destroyed their systems, which shut them down. Sticks used a nearby stick and threw it at the robots, and started to run away, murmuring 'IT'S THE END OF THE WORLD!' and all that.

And us?

We were being badass, as always. We fought alongside each other, using chaos energy and punching, kicking the robots. We successfully defeated all of them together, and Eggman retreated. Me and Shadow hugged each other, but Sonic, Tails and Amy laughed and giggled at us. Shadow stuck up a middle finger at them and they ran away, laughing.

"So... a promise is a promise, right?" Shadow sighed and used Chaos Control to teleport me back to my house. Shadow took the palm of my hand, and kissed it softly. "When you want to meet me again, I'll be there." And once he used Chaos Control again, he was gone in a blink of an eye.

I sighed and walked over to my bedroom. My mom wasn't there and I assumed she was busy at the castle. I sat on my bed and looked up at the stars. My memories came flooding back of Shadow, Maria and Me looking up at the stars, daydreaming what we would've done together on earth. 

Then.. memories came back of me and Shadow kissing. It made me blush a lot but I quickly rolled my eyes and forced a frown on my face. I snuggled in my bed, and went to sleep. Little did I know, that hedgehog was waiting and watching me outside my window.. waiting for our next adventure.
