Lisa lay frozen on the bed, her mind desperately trying to make sense of the horrors that now defined her existence. The room felt colder, darker, as if the walls themselves were closing in, suffocating her beneath the weight of her helplessness. Every shadow seemed alive, crawling toward her like the oppressive thoughts she couldn’t escape. She was alone—truly and completely alone.
Jungkook’s words echoed in her mind: "You belong to me now." The phrase spun in her head like a haunting lullaby, each repetition eroding the last pieces of hope she had clung to. Her heart was heavy, crushed under the realization that her fate had been sealed. There was no way out. The life she had once known—of safety, of love, of freedom—was gone, swallowed whole by the dark, suffocating presence of the man who claimed to care for her.
Her innocent heart couldn’t understand the cruelty. Lisa’s mind, fragile and childlike in its simplicity, couldn’t fathom how someone who said they loved her could also threaten her with such brutality. Love, to her, was supposed to be kind, gentle, warm like the sun. Not this. Not this suffocating grip that felt more like chains than affection.
The tears continued to roll down her cheeks, silent now, as her body trembled with the last remnants of her sobs. Her small hands gripped the blanket, pulling it up to her chin as if hiding beneath it could somehow shield her from the nightmare that surrounded her. She wanted to call for her mommy again, to cry out and beg for him to save her, but deep down she knew that no one was coming. Her father had tried, and he had failed. Jungkook had made sure of that.
He will destroy everything I love.
The thought struck her like a punch to the gut, forcing a sharp gasp from her lips. Jungkook’s promise was not an idle threat. Lisa had seen the cold, merciless look in his eyes as he spoke. There was no doubt in her mind that he would make good on his word. Her father, her friends, anyone she had ever cared about would be torn apart if she so much as attempted to escape.
And it was all her fault. If she hadn’t trusted so easily, if she hadn’t gone along with her father’s wishes so blindly, none of this would have happened. Her innocent heart had led her into a trap, one that was tightening with every breath she took.
Her fingers clutched the blanket tighter as she whispered to herself, “I’m sorry, Daddy. I’m sorry Mommy.” The words were broken, barely audible in the darkness, but they were all she could offer.
The night stretched on endlessly, and though Lisa’s body begged for sleep, her mind was too restless, too consumed by fear. She stared at the ceiling, her wide eyes unblinking, as if closing them would somehow make everything worse. Every creak of the floorboards, every rustle of the wind outside, sent her heart racing, as if she expected Jungkook to return at any moment, to loom over her once again and remind her of her place.
Her innocence, once a shield that protected her from the world’s cruelty, now felt like a burden. She didn’t understand the games Jungkook was playing. She didn’t understand why someone who was supposed to love her would also want to break her. In her childlike mind, love was simple. It was pure. It didn’t hurt, didn’t cause pain. But this was something else entirely—something dark and twisted that she couldn’t comprehend.
Hours passed, though they felt like years. Eventually, exhaustion overcame her, and she drifted into a fitful sleep. But even in sleep, the darkness followed her. Her dreams were filled with shadows, with twisted versions of the life she had once known. In them, her father’s face was a mask of disappointment, his eyes filled with sorrow as he turned away from her, leaving her alone in the cold grasp of Jungkook’s arms.
Lisa whimpered in her sleep, her body curling into itself as she tried to escape the nightmares that plagued her. But there was no escape. Not even in her dreams.

When she awoke, it was still dark. The candles had long since burned out, leaving the room bathed in shadows. For a moment, Lisa didn’t know where she was. Her mind was sluggish, her body heavy with exhaustion. But then the events of the previous night came rushing back to her, and the fear returned in full force.
She sat up slowly, her heart pounding in her chest as her eyes darted around the room. The oppressive atmosphere remained, though it was quiet—too quiet. Her small, delicate hands rubbed at her swollen eyes, and she glanced toward the door, half-expecting it to swing open at any moment, for Jungkook to return and remind her of his control over her.
But the door stayed closed. For now.
Lisa slid off the bed, her legs shaky as they carried her toward the window. She had to see the world outside—had to remind herself that it still existed. The heavy curtains were drawn, casting the room in near-total darkness, but she pulled them aside, her eyes widening at the sight beyond.
The night sky was vast and endless, the moon casting a pale glow over the landscape. For a brief, fleeting moment, she felt a flicker of hope. The world outside was still there, untouched by the nightmare that had taken over her life. But that hope was short-lived. The high, wrought-iron gates that surrounded Jungkook’s estate loomed in the distance, a stark reminder of the prison she was trapped in.
Her small hands pressed against the cold glass, her breath fogging it up as she whispered, “Please… someone help me.”
But no one could hear her. Not out there. And certainly not in here.
A cold shiver ran down her spine, and she quickly stepped back from the window, pulling the curtains shut once again. The room seemed to grow darker, heavier with each passing second, as if it was alive, feeding off her fear and despair.
Suddenly, the door creaked open, and Lisa’s heart stopped. Jungkook stepped into the room, his figure silhouetted against the dim light from the hallway. His presence was as suffocating as ever, filling the space with an oppressive energy that made it hard to breathe.
He didn’t say anything at first, simply watching her as she stood frozen in place. His gaze was intense, predatory, as if he was waiting for her to make a move, to defy him in some way. When she didn’t, when she stood there trembling like a small, frightened child, he finally spoke.
“Good morning, Lili,” he said, his voice deceptively soft. “Did you sleep well?”
Lisa didn’t answer. She couldn’t. Her throat felt tight, her words trapped beneath the weight of her fear.
Jungkook took a step toward her, then another, until he was standing right in front of her, towering over her like a shadow that she couldn’t escape. He reached out, his fingers brushing against her cheek, and Lisa flinched at the touch.
“You’ll learn to love it here,” he whispered, his tone almost soothing. “In time, you’ll see that this is where you belong.”
Lisa’s eyes filled with tears once again, but she said nothing. There was nothing left to say.
