"Can I look now," Lucas asks anxiously.

"Hold your horses, Bucky," Maya laughs. "I'm almost done."

It's Sunday afternoon, which means Maya and Lucas are at the park enjoying each others company like they planned to do. It's a little cloudy and more windy than expected but they aren't complaining. They just sit in the wet grass and under the shade of a tree.

Lucas challenged Maya to draw something anything and Maya being Maya took the challenge. She began drawing a dandelion and when she was finished, she was happy to say she was proud of her work.

At first, she was hesitant to show Lucas her drawing but he continued to bother her about it until she gave in. She hands him her notebook and watches him examine it.

"Not bad, Hart. Not bad," Lucas said nodding his head in approval.

"Thanks Sundance," Maya says.

"It's almost as good as the first picture I've seen you draw." Lucas gestures around the park. "Well, I guess the park is beautiful, who wouldn't want to take a picture?"

Maya laughs. "What, were you expecting to see cows and sheep eating the grass, hopalong?"

"You know, maybe I was," Lucas admits jokingly.

"I will never get to you will I," Maya asks with a smirk on her lips.

"Nope, probably not," Lucas says.

Maya scoffs and snatches her notebook out of Lucas' hands. She puts it in her bag when Lucas asks, "Will I be able to see any of your other masterpieces?"

"Maybe," Maya says. "If I ever create any."

"Oh, don't be so modest," Lucas says. "I'm sure you're great."

Maya laughs. "Well what about you?"

"What do you mean?"

"You try so hard to figure me out," Maya says scooting closer to Lucas. "But I want to know more about you, Ranger."

Lucas raises both of his eyebrows in amusement. The blonde's blue eyes dance playfully and Lucas can't help but laugh just a little bit.

"What was the big bad thing you did in Texas? Why was it so bad you had to move?"

Lucas' body twitches just for a second, a quick second, but Maya noticed it. Maya knows no one is that perfect.

"How did you know," Lucas asks.

"One of the perks of being an artist is that I'm very observant," Maya says. "Your body language changed when I asked you the first time. I knew it had to be something bad."

Lucas looks down at his fiddling fingers. "I was a different person when I was in Texas," he admits. "I did something bad. I had to leave."

"What happened," Maya asks.

"I came here," Lucas says giving her a small smile.

"Well, no matter what, you'll still be my Moral Compass." Maya pats his shoulder before punching him in the arm. Not hard, but hard enough for Lucas to groan quietly. As payback, Lucas playfully shoves Maya into the grass but Maya holds on to Lucas' arms with the "If I go down, you're coming down with me!" mentality.

Which leads to Lucas being on top of Maya, their faces inches apart. They both don't move for a while due to bashfulness of how close they were to each other. Maya's heart was beating so fast, she was sure Lucas could hear it pounding against her chest. When Lucas pushes a strand of hair behind Maya's blonde hair behind her ear, she whispers, "Do you feel that?"
