Koi and his sister, Dori, wandered blindly amidst the dense pine forest, their hands intertwined. "Are we there yet?" Dori's voice cut through the patter of rain on leaves. Koi blinked, raindrops clinging to his lashes. "Where? We're not heading anywhere specific," he replied. Dori sighed in frustration, releasing his hand abruptly. "Look, berries!" she exclaimed, her tone filled with wonder. "Dori, wait, don't—" Koi's warning was too late as he heard her startled cry, followed by the sickening sound of her fall from the cliff edge where the berry bush perched. "DORI!" Koi's panicked shout echoed through the forest, but there was no response. He staggered to his feet, leaning heavily against a nearby tree. Tears mingled with the rain streaming down his face, unnoticed in the dim light. Surveying his surroundings, Koi desperately sought any sign of hope. Across the valley, lights glimmered faintly, offering a beacon of possibility. Determination ignited within him as he resolved to traverse the daunting expanse below to reach those distant lights.
