"What... are... you doing here?" she asked coldly.

"What do you think?" I pointed my eyes towards her phone.

After seeing me holding her phone, Kushida rushed forward and snatched it out of my hand. She looked straight into my eyes, her expression unwavering.

"Did you hear?" she asked.

"Maybe. Maybe not," I replied

"I see."

Kushida took a step closer to me, her voice lowering.

"If you tell anyone what you just heard, I won’t forgive you."

I raised an eyebrow, curious. "What if I do tell someone?"

"In that case, I’ll tell everyone you raped me," she said, her tone icy.

"And how would you prove that?" I asked, unfazed. "It’s a false accusation."

"It won’t be false," she said calmly.

Kushida grabbed my right wrist, forcing my hand open. Slowly, she pressed my palm against her ⁿ09chest. I blinked, surprised by the sensation. It was much softer than I imagined.

I NEVER THOUGHT A GIRL’S BO*BS WOULD FEEL THIS SOFT!

But this wasn’t the time to be distracted. There were more important matters at hand.

"Your fingerprints are on my clothes now," she whispered. "That’s evidence of my claim. I’m serious. Do you understand?"

Clearly, Kushida had no idea how fingerprints worked. Cotton and linen can’t retain verifiable prints. The likelihood of anyone detecting my fingerprints this way was nearly zero. Even if, hypothetically, they did find prints on her blazer, what difference would it make? My fingerprints alone would never be taken as credible evidence. If needed, I could request a physical examination. As far as I knew, both of us were still virgins. Though I couldn’t be sure about Kushida, I definitely was.

And it wouldn't make sense for a rapist to still be a virgin after the supposed "crime."

There were countless ways to counter this kind of false accusation, but...

"I understand," I said finally. "Now, would you mind letting go of my hand?"

Scene Shift

A man in a black suit stood with a professional expression, addressing someone shrouded in darkness.

"It seems we've tracked traces of 001," the man in the black suit said with a smile.

"Then we should start the mission and inform the others," said the figure in the dark.

"It’s fascinating how 001 faked every single one of his details," the man continued. "Even with the full resources of the government and military, we couldn’t find him. His acting and hiding abilities are truly astonishing."

"Of course," the shadowed figure replied. "001 is our best. Kazuki, there’s nothing out there that could catch him."

Kazuki, the man in the black suit, nodded. "I understand. Shall we begin the mission? What will you call it, sir?"

"The hunt for 001 begins now."

Scene Shift

I decided to leave Kushida alone for now. My target had temporarily shifted from her to Kei Kazuiwaza. Not because Kushida was less important, but because Kei was a much easier target at the moment.

Someone was already after Kei, and the plan was well underway.

FLASHBACK:

"Kazuiwaza, you coming for lunch?" Shinohara called out to me.

"Sure, just save me a spot," I replied, flashing a grin and packing my things.

I was checking some new clothes on my phone when—bam!—I crashed into someone.

"Watch it! That was my lunch!" The girl I bumped into was fuming, and now a crowd had gathered.

I scanned the scene. They had been walking on the left, completely ignoring the unspoken rule of sticking to the right. She had to be a second-year. How could she not know this?

"So, what’s the plan? You gonna say sorry or what?" she demanded.

"Excuse me? You’re the one out of line," I shot back.

Suddenly, one of her friends chimed in. "Let’s go. I don’t want to make a scene." But before they left, she tossed a threat over her shoulder: "Just remember, you brought this on yourself."

Her words sent a chill down my spine, but I quickly brushed it off and left.

End of Flashback

It didn’t seem like much at first, but something about it felt off.

Kusuma, a second-year from Class-D, didn’t seem the type to cause a scene. Second-years wouldn’t risk such a blatant confrontation with the school’s cameras around. The way it started over something as trivial as lunch felt forced. And then, there was the threat from her friend. It screamed of a premeditated bullying scheme.

Ryuen seemed like the obvious suspect, given his reputation, but I doubted he would waste points on something so petty. From what I knew, he was focused on collecting points, not spending them.

But there was something in Kazuiwaza eyes then Kusuma’s friend’s made that threat—fear. She has that in her eyes.
