CHAPTER 5

It was 4:AM and I think I hadn't been able to sleep for a single minute, just by closing my eyes the diabolical faces of those three came to my mind, their completely red eyes, their elongated fangs and their big dark circles.

* Ring Ring * *Ring Ring*

The alarm clock started ringing indicating that it was already 7:AM,
I officially had 24 hours without sleep.
I thought about not going to school today but if I didn't that would make the trio suspect something, so I got up from my bed and got in to take a shower.
I turned on the faucet and let the water fall directly to my face and seconds later the shower, my hair and my whole body were full of blood, the water had turned into blood pouring down, I quickly turned off the faucet so that blood stopped coming out and I started cleaning my face with a towel, when I cleared my face, everything had returned to normal there was not a single blood stain in the bathroom, apparently everything had been an illusion of mine, I think I was going crazy.I quickly got out of the shower before anything else happened.

- What do you got?is everything okay?- My grandmother asked when she saw me coming down the stairs.

- Yes, everything is fine!because it
questions?- I answered.

"From your face, with those dark circles you look like a corpse," Derek said.

"I'm fine," I said taking some sunglasses that were on a piece of furniture.

"Maybe you shouldn't go to school today," Isobel said.

- I have to go!- I answered almost in a scream.

I sat down to breakfast next to them while all my mind was thinking about was what were they?,my mind was telling me not to investigate but something inside me was begging me to search for the truth.

"Let's go before it gets late," Derek said.

Before leaving, my grandmother gave me an arm, I think she knew something, I had never believed all the stories she told, I always thought she was crazy but she was always right, this town was hiding something.

"If you need anything, call me," Derek said bringing me back to reality.

I didn't even realize that we had already arrived because of how cloudy my mind was.That was the moment to tell him what I had seen but without saying anything we just got out of the car.

"You come in, I'm going to the bathroom," I said to Isobel just as I reached the door of the living room.

She just looked at me confused but agreed and went in.

I walked through the corridors of the school while observing everything around me, I did not want to encounter such things, when checking that no one was watching enter the library.
There were more than a hundred sections but I knew that what I was looking for could only be in two, Myths and Legends.

I had been looking for two hours and I couldn't find anything, nothing matched what I saw. After reading 15 books, I found one, "Cursed Beings" according to this book there were hundreds of non-human beings inhabiting this world, but only three of them seemed credible and matched what I saw before.
Demons, Incubi and Vampires.
They all fed on humans and had devilish traits.
I couldn't believe what I was looking for, this was impossible to exist but I knew what I had seen. Without anyone seeing, I ripped off some images of legends of each of these and I got out of there.
It was almost time for us to return home so I decided to leave earlier, but this thought was interrupted by a message.

"I'll see you at the old soccer field in 5 minutes, Hunter.»

What?why did he want to see me?and in one place alone, no one was going to that court since they made the new one months ago. I was very scared but if I didn't go they might suspect something.
I breathed hard, took courage and went as far as he wanted, when I arrived he was already sitting there on a bench, I saw him with his perfect hair, perfect skin, perfect eyes, I couldn't understand how someone like that could do something as terrible as what he had done.
