PART 10 | MEET UPS.

*After a while when they were waiting for Sonic's team to come into the restaurant, Dorothy goes to the cooking room and starts to cook something for all of them.*

While Dorothy is cooking, Sonic, curious about what she's cooking because the smell was good, enters the cooking room: Hmm... what a good smell~ What is this dorothy? *looking around the kitchen*

Dorothy then says with hope for Sonic's excitement: You already know it *laughs*, Chili Dog, duh do you want it?

Sonic then says: You don't even need to ask! Heck yeah I wanna eat something right now! (especially Chili Dog)

Suddenly the doorbell rings, and the first to come is Tails.

Sonic looks at his face: You sure look so... sleepy.

Tails groans and nods his head: Ugh... Yeah, I'm really tired right now, what's the rush?? *yawning*

Dorothy jokingly says: It's only 2:45 am right now, why are you tired..? *laughs*

Tails sighs and says: You both try getting me woken up in the middle of the night to do stuff and see how tired you feel....

Sonic grins and says: Aww, come on. You're being a bit of a baby right now, you know that? *Tails groans at that.*

Dorothy invites them both to sit: Well, before we talk and wait for Knuckles & Amy, can we sit first guys..? I'll prepare everything again! *goes to the kitchen*

While Sonic & Tails wait for the food, the doorbell rings again, and now it's Amy.

Amy then says: Hey guys.. *looks around the restaurant* hmm... this place is lit! *sits with them* What are you guys doing here? it's 2 am.. is it a snack late night?..

Tails, a little sleepy, says: Does my face look excited for "midnight" snacks, Amy??

Amy chuckles: Hmm... maybe..? what are we going to do guys?

Sonic says: We're waiting for one person left..

Amy gives him a confused but curious look: Who?-

And then the person appears.. it was Knuckles, the last person to come.

Knuckles steps into the dining area and greets them: Hey guys! am I late??

*Sonic, Tails, Amy, and Knuckles have a little chat while waiting for the food to be done. After a brief time, the food is done! Dorothy has cooked so many things for them, including Chili Dogs, French fries, desserts, etc.*

Sonic, fascinated and hungry by all the food served, says: Woah! Suddenly we have a big dinner time in the middle of the night.. but I agree tho, I haven't eaten big for a while. *laughs and starts to grab some food and munch*

Tails also grabs one and takes a bite out of it. He's instantly blown away by how good it is and looks over at Dorothy in disbelief: Mmmm! All of this is amazing! Oh my gosh, it's the best Chili Dog I've ever had!

Dorothy, looking really proud of the food she cooked, says: Of course darling, look who's the cook. *laughs*

Amy appreciates the food Dorothy cooked: Yeah! Definitely a good taste right there!

*While they're eating, they chat again together, introducing themselves to Dorothy, and Dorothy introducing herself to them (even though she already knows everything about them). After all of them finish their food, they let out sighs of satisfaction.*

Amy rubs her stomach and says: Yup, all done. Best food I've had in a long time.

Knuckles nods in agreement: Yeah, that hit the spot, man. Thanks.

Dorothy then starts to become serious and tries to explain everything to them: Ok.. but now me and Sonic actually really need you guys here for some... (ummm) some mission.. this mission is urgent.. And before I explain everything, Sonic, can you please explain to them who I really am, and why we're calling your team in the middle of the night..

Sonic, a bit surprised, but nods and replies slowly: Uh, okay... I was gonna do that anyway... *He then looks at his friends and says* Guys, this is Dorothy. She... well, I'm not sure how to say this...

Tails looks at Dorothy with a confused look and asks: What do you mean by "not sure", Sonic? What's going on..?!

Sonic hesitates for a moment before saying: Well... Dorothy is..... well... she's an... "Ancient"...

Amy's jaw drops and she gasps in shock: W-what did you say? She's... an Ancient?, Sonic stop playing around it's 3 AM!!

Dorothy, confused about how to explain that to them, says: Um.. yeah.. you guys are not hallucinating nor dreaming.. it's real.. and I'm from.. *sigh* thousands of years ago... I'm.. 2600+ years old..

*All of them are in complete shock at Dorothy's response.*

Amy's jaw practically drops to the floor in disbelief: Y-you... you're over 1000 years old?! STOP FOOLING AROUND.

Knuckles is completely dumbfounded and asks: W-wait, are you serious...? That really... doesn't seem possible if you ask me.. You must be drunk, aren't you?!

Sonic then says: She's real guys, trust me.

Tails asks and jokingly said: So you're like.. REALLY old..? *chuckles a bit*

Dorothy snaps: HEY I'M NOT "OLD"..! I'm just... really ancient....

Sonic laughs: That's the same thing, Dorothy.

Tails and Amy's eyes are both as wide as golf balls and Amy exclaims: W-wow!!! S-so... y-you really are an... Ancient...?

Knuckles is also in shock: This, this is insane! An actual Ancient living among us...

Dorothy explains: Currently, I'm a chef here at Green Hills! I have to be honest, I'm REALLY bored living for thousands of years and watching hundreds of generations pass...

Knuckles is kind of surprised by Dorothy's reaction: Yeah.. I'd be as bored as you if I had to live for that long time!

Amy is baffled further and exclaims: How the heck are you so chill about all of this?! Being alive for over 2024 years would drive anyone insane!

Dorothy then says with a smile: Yeah.. Honestly, I'm tired, but I can't be killed by anything.. if you don't believe me, try to stab me now..

Knuckles' eyes widen at Dorothy's words: Yeah we believe you.. but you're like.. immortal right? So, you really can't die or something?

Dorothy says back: Maybe...

Everyone is completely floored by that and Knuckles asks: M-maybe? What do you mean by "maybe"?

Dorothy replies: Because I have to be honest with you guys.. I don't know how to die.. I've tried every way to die, I just can't..

Tails is utterly flabbergasted at Dorothy's response and asks: You... don't know how to die...? How the heck is that even possible?! My head is really confused now!!
