𝐓𝐇𝐄 𝐍𝐄𝐗𝐓 𝐌𝐎𝐑𝐍𝐈𝐍𝐆, Ali and Jenny walked towards the breakfast table where Claire, Nate and Kyle were seated. "Nate, say you're sorry. In the eye and with contrition." Claire said, as she looked at her youngest grandson.
Ali and Jenny reached the table, and took a seat as Kyle kissed Jenny on the cheek, then brought Ali in for an embrace. "Ali, I'm afraid I—" Nate started, but was cut off by his grandmother."
"In the eye, Nathan."
"Yes gran, I'm not twelve." Nate stated
"Prove it." Claire said
"Yes, do prove it." Kyle said as he took a sip of his coffee, earning a sarcastic eye roll from Nate
"I'm sincerely sorry, Ali" Nate said as he looked at her. "It won't happen again."
"Excellent." Claire murmured.
"Well, look at you. You're apologizing for once in your life." Kyle said
"Ali." Claire said, as she handed her a champagne glass, and she accepted it with a quiet thank you. "I want to make a toast. I want to thank you for the wonderful thing you and Jenny did, and for a complete stranger. I'll never forget it."
"Nor I." Nate said, keeping his eye on Ali
"Jenny and I have had the most incredible few days, we really have, and we can't thank you enough for letting us tag along." Ali said as Jenny hugged her side.
"Oh I think you two did more than tag along." Claire said with a raised eyebrow along with her glass. "Here is to...all our loved ones. Wherever they may be." The group clinked their glasses together in toast.

Later that night, Ali strolled through the hotel garden, where she found Nate lying on the grass. "May I join you?" Ali smiled
"Please." Nate smiled, as he reached down to adjust the hem of his shirt, while Ali laid down beside him. "I'm so sorry Ali."
Ali looked into his beautiful green eyes, gave him a small smile, and then looked back up at the sky. He reached down to take her dainty hand in his, and she held it. "I forgive you, Nate."
"Do you think he's out there? Lorenzo?" Nate questioned
"Yeah." Ali nodded. "He's somewhere."
"And am I wrong? To insist she quit?" Nate asked
"No, you know...you can't go on forever. At some point you have to stop." Ali said, as she continued to look up at the stars.
"Then why is it that I feel like a schoolboy on sunday?" Nate asked with a smile on his face, making Ali looking at him. "It's nearly tomorrow and I don't want to go."
"Me either." Ali replied softly as she looked into his eyes. "And I always loved school."
Nate smiled and his gaze lowered to Ali's lips for a split second before returning to her eyes. Their faces were millimeters apart, and her eyes fluttered shut as he brushed his lips against hers. They pulled apart, and he pressed his forehead against her's.
"You are wonderful, Ali Hall." Nate smiled. "I've never met anyone like you."
"Well, I certainly hope not." Ali laughed, making him laugh as well. "Thank you. So are you."
In her hotel room, Claire closed the curtain, a smile on her face and her wine glass in her hand.
