You and Charlie returned to the hotel with one of your arms wrapped around her shoulder while she held back tears. Once you stepped inside, she broke free from your warm embrace. She claimed she needed time alone as she dragged herself to the elevator.

Originally, Vaggie was on the second floor, and when she heard the door open, she ran over to see you both. She stood at the top of the stairs with a warm smile, but when she saw Charlie, her mood shifted. Vaggie tried to go after Charlie, trying to cheer her up. But Charlie only shrugged her off and let the elevator close in Vaggie's face.

You walked back over to Vaggie as she slumped down onto the couch. You sat beside her, trying to comfort her like you did for Charlie. But, Husk decided he needed to comment, "I could have told you that plan was shit."

"Shut up!" She yelled, glaring at him from the couch.

"You decided to mess with any Overlord. What did you think was gonna happen?" He snapped back.

"Oh, get off your high horse! Stop acting like you're above everybody else! You think you can insult all of this morning, then sit back and act like you know better than me, you lazy ass!" To add salt to the wound, all the lights in the hotel shut off. "AAAHH! I thought I fixed that?"

"What happened?" You pulled out a flashlight while Vaggie switched on the flashlight on her phone.

"The lights were flickering, and I tried to fix it."

"Welp, let's go see what the problem is." The two of you headed down to the basement, with you leading the way. You shined your flashlight over the different machines. You spotted the breaker box and trotted over. Vaggie awkwardly shuffled behind you trying not to touch anything in fear she would somehow make things worse. Opening up the circuit box, you signed, "A circuit was tripped. It should be an easy fix." Turning around, you saw Vaggie staring at the floor, her arm wrapped around her body. "Are you okay?"

Her shoulders slumped as she sat down the machine next to you with a grim expression. She didn't even react when twenty roaches scuttered away from where she sat down. "I can't do anything right. I couldn't even tell what was wrong."

"Hey, don't be so hard on yourself. Just because you don't know now doesn't mean you can't learn." You held out your hand for Vaggie to take. She stared right through your eyes and into your soul. She grabbed your hand, jumped off with a little more peep in her step, ready to give it any try.

You mentally prayed that she didn't sit on any of the bug as the two of you fixed the breakers. The lights roared back to life as the two of you celebrated.

The two of you spent most of the day down there, teaching her about all the machines that keep the hotel running. You showed her how they work and the basics of how to tell if there is a problem.

When you finally walked back upstairs, you came face to face with Charlie, who was sitting on the ground waiting for you like a puppy waiting for their owner to return from work. When she saw you, she perked up and ran over to pull Vaggie and you into a rib crushing hug. "Babe, why were you sitting on the floor," Vaggie asked while hugging the two of you even tighter than Charlie.

"I missed you guys. Yay! You're back!" She let go of you and rested her head on Vaggie's head. Her happy was short lived as she recounted how she got here. "I've been waiting out in the lobby for you guys after Husk told me you were down here. But then Angel showed up, and he looked so upset that I couldn't bring myself to talk with him."

Speaking of Angel, screams rang through the halls from the familiar spider. The three of you dashed to the lobby only to see Angel running out of the hotel. The only other soul in the lobby was Husk, who was sitting behind the bar with his regular unhappy expression.
