It felt like every step they have taken forward has amounting to nothing. Sure, the residents have been taking a while to start crawling toward redemption, but they're working on it. Pentious has been on his best behavior and trying to get along with everyone; even KeeKee warmed up to him. While he acts like he couldn't care less, Angel has potential. Yet, nothing! No sign Heaven is ready to open the pearly gates. Charlie glared at the wall as if she looked close enough something would stand out. Something would show her how to help her people.

Time was not on their side. One and a half months. Forty-five days to prove to her hotel works and that everyone has done all this work for something. Anything. Her eyes burned looking at the conspiracy board she turned their lobby into. She knows that even if it doesn't work this year. She'll have another and another after that, but who knows if everyone else will keep believing, too. The weight of everything hung on her shoulder. Her head throbbed as her teeth grinded together. Maybe if they worked double time? Maybe if she could get everyone to challenge themselves for the better? Maybe if she pushed herself far past her limits? Maybe they'll stand a chance.

Behind her, a comforting voice called out barely louder than a whisper, "Umm, Charlie? Are you okay?" Charlie glanced over at Vaggie's attempt to soothe her, with you behind Vaggie with a comforting but concerned look.

Their attempts were nice, but they didn't help Charlie out of her panic state. "No," she answered honestly, turning back to the sprawling mess in front of her while the rest of the hotel's residents watched her madness (except Alastor, who is never here anymore). "We've been doing everything to try and redeem sinners, and nothing is working." She could feel her eyes turning red as her horns popped out.

"Well..." Vaggie's eyes flickered over to you, trying to find the right words to say. "Maybe-."

Charlie rushed across the lounge already sense what she was going to suggest. She hopping on the couch and gripping Vaggie's face in her hands. "No! No! No!" She said between every word that Vaggie said.

"Maybe you should call your Dad?" Charlie deflated on the couch, draping her body over it. Vaggie brushed her fingers through her hair with a sign.

Husk took a long sip of his mug, half containing coffee and half vodka. "What, you got daddy issues or something?"

"No!" Charlie whipped her head up. Her glance moved to the floor, leaning further into Vaggie's touch, trying to prove Husk wrong but unable to lie. "It's just... After my parents started to split, he hasn't really talked to me."

"So, daddy issues?" Charlie and Vaggie glared over at him while you signed.

Angel huffed with a smile, "Well, I'd like to meet the big dick in charge." His eyes moved over to you, his smile only growing. "Dollface, you know him right? What's he's like?"

"He's... um... A lot like Charlie-."

You were tried of finishing your thoughts, but Charlie had other plans. As she jumped off the couch, her hair falling into more disarray. "He's nothing like me! He let the exterminations happen! He went to a meeting and just agreed to kill everyone." Her eyes filled with light as she turned to the wall behind her. Everything in her mind seemed to click as the smile returned to her face. "That's it!"

"Kill everyone?" Vaggie asked, dumbfounded by the princess's change in stance.

"No." She explained her plan. Adam was an asshole, but maybe someone else in Heaven would listen. Pulling out her phone, she scrolled through all her contacts until her finger hovered over her Dad's number. Her eyes drifted over to you. She could ask you to call him, and he would definitely pick up. He would agree to have you over in a heartbeat, and you could one hundred percent convince him to let her talk to Heaven. Charlie shook her head before staring at her phone. No. She can't force you to do that for her. She was doing better, not shoving all her work on you, and she refused to relapse to her old ways. She's an adult. She can do this. It's just her Dad...
