The Blanket Monster

Summary: Luigi decides to play a silly game with his daughter.

A/N: Decided to write another tickle oneshot fanfic. And just adding to this one that Luigi is still as chubby from the Walk In Goomba Woods oneshot fanfic I did a while ago.

"Wait, you played what kind of game with Lillie?" Luigi asked as he folded a big blue blanket in the living room.

"It was just a little silly game," Princess Toadstool replied, "but it was a little blanket monster game."

Luigi couldn't help but laugh at that. He found it very sweet as the Princess explained how she would play that game growing up with Lillie.

"I would mostly give her hugs or even tickle her just for fun. It's one of her favorite games ever when we got bored," she giggled.

All of a sudden, an idea popped into Luigi's head. He stared at the blanket in his arms as a grin started to form on his face. He knew his daughter was open about liking to be tickled and thought of surprising her with that same game.

"I think you just gave me an idea," Luigi beamed as he dashed off to his room.

Princess Toadstool laughed as she shook her head and said to herself, "Oh great, the tickle monster has returned."

About an hour had passed as Lillie walked into the castle. School was over for the day, and she was glad that it was Friday. She went upstairs to her room and put away her bag, and put her homework on her desk to do later. She then decided to take off her shoes and socks since her feet were a bit sore from walking home. Then, she went downstairs to go rest in the living room.

After a few minutes, something caught Lillie's attention. She looked over to her left and saw a big blue blanket, but there was a big lump under it. She shrugged it off as she thought she was just seeing things as she went to go turn on the TV.

The blanket started to inch closer while Lillie's attention was away from it. She looked at it again and noticed it got closer. She got a bit worried as she went to go lift up part of the blanket.

All of a sudden, the lump moved again as it started to stand up. The lump revealed itself, and it was Luigi. He had a huge grin on his face as the blanket was over his head. He chuckled as he said, "Well, hey there, squirt!"

Lillie was relieved that it was just her dad and started giggling. She went to go get up, but then looked at her father's eyes. She immediately knew what that look was. It was the look of a tickle monster. Lillie's stomach started to fill up with butterflies as her face turned a bit pink.

Luigi didn't hesitate as he started to scribble his fingers all over Lillie's sides. Lillie immediately squealed as she started to laugh and flopped down on her back. He then drilled his fingers on his daughter's ribs as squeaky laughter was pouring out of her mouth.

"I got you now, Lillie!" Luigi laughed, "Kitchy kitchy coo!

Lillie's face started to turn red instantly. Her dad knew that any baby talk got to her no matter what. It just made her laugh harder as she tried to squirm away.

"DAHAHAHAHAD! NOHOHOHOHOHO!" Lillie shouted out while tears of mirth welled up in her eyes, "IT TIHIHICKLES!"

"Well, that's the point, sweetie," Luigi smiled, "I'm making you laugh. It's supposed to tickle."

Lillie tried to stop Luigi's hands, but her strength was failing due to her uncontrollable laughter. Her shirt started riding up from her squirming as it revealed her little pudgy belly. Then, Luigi got an idea as he grinned and said, "Uh oh! Here comes the raspberry train, Lillie!" He then took a deep breath and blew a raspberry on her belly button.

Lillie absolutely screamed as she started to kick her legs and flap her arms around like a bird. Luigi couldn't help but laugh along with his daughter. Her laughter was pretty contagious. He then continued with some more baby talk and went back to his made-up raspberry game.

"Did you hear that whistle?" he asked with a playful tone, "It looks like there's five cars full of raspberries following behind!" he grinned as he started to blow raspberry after raspberry on his daughter's belly.

Poor Lillie was shrieking, wheezing, snorting, and cackling all at once. There are tears of mirth streaming down her bright red face. The tickling lasted for five more minutes, and then Luigi lifted up his hands and stopped tickling. Lillie was greedily taking big gasps of air while giggling.

Luigi was giggling too, but was a little worried as he thought he got carried away with the game. He then asked his daughter, "Are you okay, sweetie? Did I go too far?"

Eventually, Lillie caught her breath, and she told her dad that she was okay. He was relieved to hear that and started to calm down. He then took the blanket off of himself and set it off to the side, and adjusted his glasses and hoodie.

He heard Lillie letting out a yawn and found that adorable. He asked her if she wanted to take a nap, and she nodded. He grabbed the blanket and Lillie and walked over to the couch. He quickly took off his glasses and set them over on the coffee table. Lillie took off her glasses and her bow and set them there as well. She then laid her head on her dad's big round belly as she started to fall asleep. Luigi smiled, and he covered his daughter and himself with the blanket and fell asleep as well.
