Chapter 24: He knows...

      

Chapter 24: "He knows..."

POV Amilena Naki I inhale smoothly... Exhale sharply, and the lotus flower appears in a white circle in front of my right palm, then Beda literally flying towards me, twisting through the air, tries to kick me, but my body moves like it's possessed, moving my right palm in front of her foot, and she slightly bounces back, lands on her feet, and a small burst of electricity comes out of the lotus flower.

             

I can feel the current of power flow through my body and will it to my left hand. I imagine a ball of energy, and a ball of electricity forms above my palm. The lotus flower disappears as I bring my right hand over to the ball of lightening to control it better. I aim it at Beda, release it, and it crackles through the air towards her, but she's already waiting for my attack in the fourth lotus style. As soon as my ball of electricity hits her lotus flower, a burst of flames quickly appears and gets sucked into her palm, then a ball of fire appears in her other hand, then... Unexpectedly, flame my chareeb leaped between us and sucked Beda's fireball out of her hand, swallowing it like it was a tasty snack. Shortly after, flame lets out a little burp of black smoke and runs over to me and looks up to me for approval. "What the..."  Beda says, just as surprised as me. I could reach flames head now without bending down, and he was definitely too big to be chilling on my shoulder regardless of whether I could or not; it looked weird. He was about three and a half feet tall when he sat on his hind legs. I rubbed him on the top of his head, back, and fourth between his ears. When he was smaller, his fur was just all red with no spots or stripes. But now that he was a bit older and bigger, he started to develop two black stripes on either side of his body, and his red fur had become darker, to resemble a color of blood. "Wow, I didn't know you could do that flame, nice one,"  I tell him. Beda comes closer to me with her chareeb walking alongside her, who she calls frost; he had blue fur with white stripes and blue eyes, and a white mist fell from his mouth. "It's crazy that humans actually mastered all of the styles right; I mean, I know it's a bit easier for us being who we are, but it's not super easy for us,"  she says, looking at Flame. Then suddenly sensei appears from nowhere, and he says, "Only a handful of humans were able to master even one of the twelve styles, and only two humans since it's creation have mastered all twelve of the different lotus styles."  Me and Beda look at each other with "Oh... Damn." looks on our faces. Knowing that gives me one more reason to be proud of myself for what I've accomplished so far in my training.
