Chapter 25: "For Kazumo"
POV Amilena Naki "Everyone, listen... To'zou knows who and what we all are." sensei says. "Who's To'zou?" Kazumo asks. "The Vesh emperor." Benji says. "Never knew his real name." Kazumo responds. "How does he know?" I ask him, and just as sensei was about to respond, we all hear a blade slice through the air, and Kazumo gasps... When I turn around to look at him, I see his eyes get wide with shock, and I see the sword that's coming out of his chest, and the blood just beginning to drip from his mouth and soak his shirt. Jdon is behind him, pushing the blade through his body. I see a red energy swirling around in Jdon's eyes, and then just as fast as the first sound of a blade, sensei pulls the sword out of Kazumo's chest, takes it away from Jdon, and plunges the sword into Jdon's chest, piercing his heart, killing him almost instantly... Kazumo falls... Then Jdon, the last person we thought would actually betray us, falls too... "Kazumo!" Zokoso shouts as he runs over to him; he was still breathing, but he wasn't speaking. Zokoso tried to share his ability, but it wasn't working; Kazumo died within a couple of seconds after that. The rest of us stood there in shock, but Zokoso was twisting in pain; he was the closest to Kazumo, and still Beda shed a tear as well. "We'll do this for Kazumo." Zokoso said with his head down, sensei, and all of us say it too. "For Kazumo," we say... Chapter 26: "This is only the beginning." POV Narrators "Jdon was corrupted by an energy that could've only been one of Oradashi's demons," sensei says, and looks at us in silence for a while.
Then he adds, "To'zou has a projector that once worked for the previous Vesh emperor, but she now works for him, and she's informed him of who attacked his bases, and now he kind of knows what he's up against; that's the reason why I think he may be storming Rimson City as we speak," which confused them all. "Why Rimson City?" Zokoso asks, who definitely felt some anger about that, as that was where he was raised most of his life. "He wants the scroll of two hearts; he thinks it could help him become more than human and have the ability to build a machine that will send him back to the future," sensei informs us. "He'll kill himself if he tries to use that scroll sensei," Zokoso says. "Wait, what do you mean back to the future?" Amilena asks sensei. "I have a son in a future reality who will be the God of technology, and somehow To'zou didn't just find out about my son's machine that could allow someone to travel through space and time, but somewhere he read about the scroll of two hearts and its abilities, and now after almost thirteen years he's found it. I can't say whether or not he'll be able to use the scroll, but we need to stop him before he gets the chance to try it out," sensei explains. "But, I thought he didn't believe in supernatural beings and stuff; why would he believe in this, scroll?" Beda asks sensei. "He is one of the first humans to actually go back in time, and maybe at first he thought he could get money for the scroll in the era he's from, but now the astral projector has shown him the truth about God's, us, and that scroll, and he wants to become a demigod," sensei says. "Okay, but why did God's allow this to happen?" Danguzo asks. "All things are intended for a purpose; some things are even allowed for a reason," sensei says. "But," Benji begins to say, but sensei interrupts him and says, "You'll all be God's soon, and you'll find the answer to all, and I mean all." Looking at each of his students, he adds, "Of your question's.". To'zou gathered two thousand of his soilders, and five hundred of those soilders were his best men; this included his superstar or champion, Go'incho. He'd finally found what he was looking for, and he wasn't going to wait another second to try and get his hands on it. It took To'zou thirty minutes for him and his army to get to Rimson City, but Loiko Mada and his five students got there within three minutes; they were faster, and they were a couple miles closer. Zokoso and Amilena stood at the entrance of Gorego's castle, and everyone else helped get all the citizens to safety, which was hard at first but easy when Loiko said and showed them he was a god and he was here to help them. When they were only a mile away, even if you were inside, you would be able to hear and feel the vibrations getting closer and closer. "Do you think this'll be easy?" Zokoso asks Amilena. "I'm not sure, but I'm not going to go easy on them for sure," Amilena says. Just a few seconds later, they heard a loud horn that blew again and again three times. "I'm ready, you?" Amilena asks. Zokoso looks at her and says, "I'm always ready, Lena." "Oh, is that your nickname for me now? We're on that level, huh?" she says, smiling. "Of course, but also, I'm only calling you that now because Flame isn't here; he'd probably try to take a chunk out of me," he says, looking at her from the corners of his eyes. As soon as the emperor's army began to become visible in the distance, Loiko and the three other students showed up at Gorego's castle, joining Zokoso and Amilena. "So, brother, how are we going to do this? It's going to take them at least three minutes to get over here," Benji says to Zokoso, who looks ahead at the soilders just as they began to start running in their direction. "Well, they'll probably get here a little faster, Benji," Zokoso says. The war cry of all the soilders shook the ground even more than their feet. Zokoso could feel the vibrations in his Katana.
