A near month after Erik began tutoring Rosealine, they began pursuing a romantic relationship. The same week, Jose and Kitty Menendez caught wind of it. In Erik's testimony as well Rosealines, they will both say Jose warned Erik to stay away from Rose. Not because she was a bad person, but because she was a "distraction."

Still, the week they began dating, they insisted on meeting Rosealine. It was her first time meeting Lyle Menendez as well. She describes in her testimony.

The Menendez Brothers Trial. 1995. Rosealine Bishops Testimony. Script: 2

L: How would you describe your first time meeting Lyle Menendez?

R: I immediately noticed he was charming and just as handsome as his brother. I had never really seen a picture of Lyle before, but I was simply amazed by him. He was playful.

L: What about Jose and Kitty? How did you feel about them?

R: They were kind but I found them quite odd at first impression. Kitty never really spoke to me. Jose asked me questions the entire time. They seemed...disconnected.

3RD POV.

"Are you sure I look alright?" Rose asked, looking at herself in the mirror in Erik's car. She was wearing an off the shoulder baby blue dress. It was the more modest thing she could find.

"You look beautiful, Rose. I promise."

She looked at Erik.

"You wouldn't lie to me?"

Erik gave her a boyish grin.

She rolled her eyes, opening the car door.

"Shithead."

Erik snorts, meeting her in the front of the car. Her arm intertwined with his own, looped together as they walked up to Erik's home.

He opened the door, dropping Roses arm but keeping hold of her hand.

Immediately down the stairs came Lyle Menendez. Rose was stunned, her feet glued to the ground and her jaw practically slack.

He was breathtaking. He was more tan than she could ever dream of being, with brown hair. He had big arms and strong hands, and a jawline for days.

"You must be the beautiful Rosealine!" He exclaimed, taking her hand in his. Roses hand was practically limp with shock.

"It's so nice to meet you finally." As Rose managed to get her muscles moving, she shook Lyle's hand. Lyle leaned closer to her, his mouth by her ear. She gulped.

"Erik never shuts the fuck about you—now I'm seeing why." Roses eyes widened and her mouth fell open again. Erik shoved Lyle in the shoulder.

"Fuck off, dickweed." Lyle smiles at his little brother. He ruffles Erik's curly hair. Erik swats him away.

"You know I'm just playing, Erik."

Rosealine could not even speak. She felt weak in her knees. Her face was bright red by just being around the two possibly hottest men she had ever seen in her life.

"There you all are! I thought you got lost." Both the boys immediately straightened out by the sound of their father's booming voice. Jose smiled at Rose, and shook her hand as he introduced himself.

Rose mustered a smile, immediately finding him very odd.

Their mother was even more odd. She seemed off in her own world as she placed dinner infront of them.

"So, another tennis player huh?" Jose questioned.

"Yes, sir." Rose said, immediately swallowing the food in her mouth.

"You any good?"

Before Rose could answer, Lyle interjects.

"I hear her mom is Courtney Bishop. She played and won at Wimbledon when she was 16. She's legendary,"

It was common knowledge that her mother was a Wimbledon title holder. Everyone knew. She didn't know why it was relevant.

"You'd be right, Lyle." Rose responds, a smile small on her face.

"Have you entered any tournaments?" Jose asked her. She looked back at the very intimidating man.

"No, not yet. I have one coming up in a month or so. I've been preparing."

"Oh, you should let us know. We'll all come and watch. Nice family outing," The final words of his sentence left a tension in the air. Rose let out an awkwardly laugh.

Rose was more than happy for dinner to be over. She said her goodbyes, Lyle hugging her and giving her a kiss on the cheek.

"Hope I'll see you again soon, Rose."

It left Rosaline flustered as she packed into Erik's car.

As soon as they were in, Erik kissed her passionately. His hands on the back of her head, holding her close. It shocked Rose, but she reciprocated.

When he pulled away, he sighed and put his forehead against hers.

"Are you okay?" She whispered. His eyes were shut closed.

"I just needed a minute." He whispered back. Rose frowns, but places his hand in her lap. Her fingers ran over his knuckles.

"Your brother is nice. He's cool." She whispered, moving her head. Erik just resulted in putting his forehead on her bare shoulder. His eyes remained closed.

"I know."

Rose smiled fondly, her thumb rubbing circled over his knuckles. They stayed like that for another minute, before Erik took her home.

"I'll see you soon, okay?" Erik said, rather cryptically as Rose hung onto the inside of his car from the outside. The window was rolled down.

"Soon?" She asked, her expression conveying worry.

His fingers trailed over her bare arms.

"Don't you mean Monday?" She asked him.

"Yeah, Rosie. Today's only Saturday."

Rose let out a breathy laugh of relief.

"You scared me, Erik."

He smiled up at her. "I'm sorry."

Rose placed a soft kiss on his lips.

"You're forgiven."

"Goodnight, Rosie."
