A Shared Passion

The next day, Emily found herself thinking about the boy with the camera. Who was he? Why had he taken her picture? She wasn’t used to being noticed, especially not by someone as striking as him.

Later that week, fate intervened. In one of the campus coffee shops, Emily sat at a corner table, sketching ideas in her notebook. As she looked up to take a sip of her tea, she saw the boy again, sitting just a few tables away, staring out the window while fiddling with his camera.

This time, she decided to take a chance. Mustering all her courage, she approached his table.

"Hi," she said, her voice barely above a whisper. "I’m Emily."

The boy looked up, surprised, then smiled warmly. "Hey, Emily. I’m Jason."

Her heart did a little flip. "You… took my picture the other day. In the art studio."

Jason chuckled softly, nodding. "Yeah, I did. You looked so focused, so… immersed in your work. I couldn’t resist capturing that moment."

Emily blushed again, but this time she smiled. "I paint. You, um… take pictures?"

"Photography is my passion," Jason said, his eyes lighting up. "It’s how I see the world, how I tell stories."

They spent the rest of the afternoon talking about their shared love for art, Jason with his camera and Emily with her paintbrushes. It was the beginning of something beautiful, though neither of them knew it yet.
