An Opportunity Of A Century

We all sat in perfect silence for what seemed like hours, contemplating what had happened, Adelia sat near the counter, looking completely broken and hopeless, "how long will it be till we die next?" She says without looking at us, I sigh, "a long time, I won't let that happen again, I swear it" I hold my gun close, worried for who I now classify as my group, Max shivers, "It's getting dark... are we staying here for the night?" I nod, but take no effort to look at him, the scarlett moon beamed through the window, making a dark, creepy atmosphere. Suddenly, a knock landed against the glass door...

I look at Adelia and Smith, before slowly approaching the door, my hand turns the miniature knob of the door, my eyes gaze at a woman, with short red hair and spy glasses through the glass,two guards to her side, she opens the door, "Why, good afternoon, I am Jesse, I am an Elite in the Descention Clan" i look at her, sceptical, my brain repeats those words, 'Descention Clan' interesting... I look at her as she impatiently waits for an answer, "Oh, um yeah! Hi! But, may I ask what the Descention Clan is?" I blurt out, she nods and points to a badge she wars by her side, a sword badge, "I am the Elite of offence in the Clan, and we are here to invite you to join Destia" 'Destia...' my mind replays, " we will return tomorrow I suppose, you seem quite sceptical at the moment" and she leaves, I look at Adelia, who looms extremely confused and I nod, " I think they have a fortress, or a safe place, something... its better than living wherever we are now, " she replies, "but what if they... kidnap us?" I look down in frustration, "they won't do that Ade, let's just go, " Max and Smith nod in agreement, " Um... alright... fine... I guess..."

I lay my head down against the shirt of one of the workers and eventually fall asleep, I wake up, I look at Adelia, and smile before back to the window, wait... why was the blood moon still here? Where did the sun go?! I jumped up in panic

Suddenly, someone spoke from the medical aisle. It was Jesse, "greetings, again, allies, have you come up with your choice?" I nod slowly, I look around, and my face drops when I realise, Where's Smith?! Where's Max?! I look around in panic, "Where did you take my friend?!" I glare at her, "now, now that's no way to speak to an Elite, we took them in earlier in the night, it's dangerous to sleep out in the open yknow, especially when there's no laws, people will kill a random person if they get the chance" my panic lifts slightly as she mentions they are safe in Destia, I nod slowly, "take us there" she chuckles and starts walking out, "I'll  be outside when you're ready to go"

I look at Adelia who is still stirring awake and I shake her "cmon Ade, we're going to safety, Jesse kept her word and we are going to Destia" she slowly wakes up and groans, around 5 minutes later, she was up and ready to go, we go outside and Jesse smiles

"Then let's be off to Destia"
