ramadan is in around 5 months, and even though it might seem far away it will arrive in the blink of an eye.
i don't think there will ever be enough time to fully prepare for ramadan and be able to fully maximise our potential during that time but we should try our best.
these are some things i think we should start practicing from now to prepare for ramadan:
1- fasting mondays & thursdays + the white days:
obviously during ramadan you will be fasting so fasting at least the white days (every 13, 14, 15 of each arabic month), just 3 days a month, will help prepare you and of course it would be best if you fast mondays and thursdays each week as well. this way you will be ready to fast during ramadan in sha allah.2- praying sunnah/nafl:
praying as many sunnah as possible will help you pray more during ramadan and pray taraweeh each day in sha allah. everyone tries to do more good deeds during ramadan and if you already have praying sunnah prayers as a habit it'll be easy for you during ramadan to pray them all and more in sha allah.3- reading quran:
most people try to finish reciting the quran once during ramadan by reading one juz each day. if you have a specific amount of quran to read each day then it'll be easier for you to finish reciting the quran during ramadan and maybe even more than once in sha allah. you could do this on your own or what i do is that i'm in a whatsapp group that sends four pages of quran after each prayer (link in the end) and in this way i read one juz a day and am able to finish reciting the quran each month in sha allah, this helps me stay determined more than reading on my own but you can do whatever helps you.4- praying tahajjud:
obviously praying tahajjud alone is absolutely amazing but it'll help you wake up for suhoor in ramadan as well which is sunnah. this way you'll be used to waking up before fajr and you'll be able to wake up early during ramadan with enough time for suhoor and tahajjud in sha allah.in sha allah this helps and that we go into ramadan stronger than ever. 🌷
