<<Jin>>
I lived in the west and was very fortunate to have a loving family, above-average circumstances with the opportunity to learn, and, more importantly, I awakened at a very young age.
I had a sister who was five years younger than me. The conditions were very suitable to create a spoiled boy.
Like Lyra and Gilbert, I was never close to the sea; I didn't even see it until recently.
I had a peculiar perspective... or perhaps it could be called twisted...

=====A week had passed since that night, and I had become more in sync with everyone as I had expected.
Even I had become more comfortable exchanging conversations with them, as my understanding of them had increased by leaps and bounds.
Asher would bother me daily to train with him and share short stories about work, and Lyra had stopped being dark around me.
My story might have been somewhat tragic, but I didn't expect it to have this much impact... Just a wicked woman manipulating a child's life and then forcing him to work for her.
"You're distracted!"
I suddenly heard a loud shout behind me. Asher's shield hit me with the force of a tank, and I felt the pain.
Although this man was the tank of our team, he was extremely fast and agile. His years of experience as a pirate had taught him how to fight on a tilted and unstable ship deck.
That experience gave him incredible flexibility. No matter the situation you put this man in, he would always find a solution.
His blow sent me flying through the air. I grabbed a non-functional room lamp and used it to regain my balance.
As soon as I let go of the lamp to return to the ground, a swift arrow threatened to pierce my head. I wanted to dodge immediately, but a strange force prevented me.
Elara stood at a distance, chanting some unknown words. His words had an unknown effect on me, making me unable to move for a moment.
I used my mechanical arm to block and then rushed towards Elara immediately.
This was a training exercise for fighting multiple enemies, designed by Gilbert, who asked us to do something similar at least once a week.
If I wanted to cripple this group, I had to eliminate the main support first!
I was only a few meters away from Elara when Asher appeared at the last moment and tackled me to the ground.
Besides Elara, none of us used skills in this training. It was another way to get used to fighting without mana.
"Failed again..."
I looked up at the ceiling as Asher knocked me to the ground. In a real fight, this would have been my end.
If I used my element and all my skills at once, I could undoubtedly overcome everyone in the room and eliminate Elara.
If I were at full strength, maybe even Lyra too...
Of course, I wouldn't kill anyone; it was just training...
Thanks to this training, I not only understood my body better, but I also learned my comrades' true capabilities.
This made me more confident in a real battle, allowing me to ignore protecting my back and leave that to them.
Asher was undoubtedly the best tank I had seen in rank A. He was extremely tough and strong, as well as fast and agile.
This allowed him to move freely across the battlefield, protecting his allies from all directions alone.
Lyra was impressive too. Although she wasn't the best without using her skills, I hadn't seen her miss a single target since I arrived here.
If she used her skills, she would be the most annoying person for the enemy, even if she wasn't the strongest.
Elara surprised me the most, as I had never seen anyone with his ability before.
By reciting a set of poems, he could make his allies stronger and his enemies weaker. Maybe this was his Legacy skill.
I didn't know if he could apply the effects to himself. If he could, it would be terrifying...
He would be a tank, warrior, and assassin if he could do that—a complete team in one person.
It's unfortunate he wouldn't be in my team after two months, but his presence elsewhere was more important.
"Don't be discouraged; only Gilbert managed to get past us in this training."
Asher helped me up, and Elara hurried over to help treat my injuries.
He could heal too... Amazing.
Gilbert was still the biggest mystery so far. I was shocked when I found out he was the famous Morning Star.
I was sure I had heard of him before. His fame had waned after he mysteriously disappeared five years ago while hunting some pirates.
All the pirate crews at sea claimed to have killed him, making what really happened a mystery to the world.
This year, he should be 26 years old, not old at all...
Considering that a man of his age didn't give up and formed the resistance group... it was truly impressive.
He was the heart of the team. I doubted my ability to defeat him even if I used all my skills, despite not having seen everything he had.
But if I used that... it's not even worth mentioning.
I don't intend to use it anyway... ever.
