Hide POV:

Where was I?

I didn't think I was anywhere... some black void. I was floating, no up, no down. Was this gonna be the rest of my li—... existence?

Until I heard her voice. "Hide," she called out, her voice soft and gentle like I remembered. Her tender grip wrapped around my arm, pulling me down to the "ground". "Your time has come... how'd you die?"

My heart dropped when I looked at her face... there was no way. Guiding Light. "I... uh... got shot?"

"Oh... how unfortunate. Follow me, I'll tell you about the afterlife..." she began walking towards some distance light... I gladly followed her. "If you're here, it means your body couldn't regenerate. It's the only way we can die, as entities. And we can't reincarnate like humans can."

"So... what happens, then..?"

She smiled, looking towards the light. "We come back, still in the hotel... just different."

A pit formed where my stomach should've been. "I... don't want to go back... i don't wanna see them—"

"Hey, it's ok," she began. "You won't have to go back anew. We just... come back differently, is all. I guide the humans through the hotel—"

My eyes widened. "Bitch, you wHAT— sorry, sorry, reflex... what??"

"We come back as sorta... ghosts. I chose to help the humans through the hotel, since... since they don't even— they don't know what's going on. They're clueless, and accidentally got stuck here..."

I couldn't believe her. This was fucking treason?? "But... what will the others eat?? They can't just starve, they'd all die—"

"Well... do you ever wonder why you see the same people over and over and over...?"

I thought her question over, not knowing what she was getting at. "I just assumed a lot of humans look the same as each other...?"

"So.. after they die... I make them come back. You guys eat the body, and eventually... I'll get them out. I'll get them all out of here."

"Light—" I stuttered. "That's fucking crazy..!!"

"Crazy, but possible. Trust me, it's possible— I've already helped so many people out... well, so many people into the mines... nobody's actually made it out."

"What the fuck happens when they all get out!?"

"Watch your mouth— trust me, we'll all be dead when that happens... I think. Humans will always come back in."

Screech POV:

I laid beside him, my arms wrapped around his waist... I softly kissed his neck, right over the bite marks I'd left on him...

"I'm scared..." he'd mutter. "Everything's changing... our relationship... the people around us— I'm... I'm just scared... I don't want anything else to change... I want back my virginity."

My eyes widened at that, I held him a bit closer. "Did I hurt you?"

"N-no... I just... I'm paranoid, is all... I don't think I'm ready for commitment..."

"Oh thank god," I breathed out a sigh of relief, pausing for a moment. My hand drifted up to his hair, softly playing with his curls. "Still just friends?"

He let out a dry laugh. "Safe to say we're homies."

"Homies. Guy friends."

"Roommates."

After our laughter died down, we laid there with each other, tangled in each other's limbs. The yelling outside still hadn't stopped, given it'd been a good 20 minutes. Basically the whole time, we were laughing at the shit being thrown around... "hang yourself in the elevator", "go back to the mines, nomad"... someone should tell Rush that "nomad" isn't a slur.

I held him as close to me as I could, the last thing I wanted to make him was uncomfortable. I placed a few more kisses to his neck, causing him to laugh. "Ticklish, are we?"

"PFFT— yes, very—" he squirmed against my touch, which just caused me to kiss him more, which caused him to laugh more. My hand made its way down to his side, softly tickling him. "Stop, jacKASS— HA—" he wheezed out.

I stopped after having my fun, and after he ran out of breath. I went back to tenderly kissing his neck... to think at one point, I'd be going crazy over this... I still am, but now that I genuinely told him I loved him, it felt different. More comforting.

Grumble POV:

"KICK HIS ASS, GRUMBLE!" Ambush yelled from the side. "HIS BITCH ASS THINKS CEREAL ISNT SOUP!"

"You should kill yourself if you think cereal is soup," Timothy added.

I was currently beating the shit out of Rush. He was below me, with new matching black eyes and a bloody nose. "YO— SOMEONE GO GRAB ME SOME ROPE!"

"ON IT, BOSS!" Timothy strode away, off to get me some rope.

"FUCK YOU GONNA DO WITH ROPE—" Rush tried to debate.

"Tie your ass to the wall so you can be a piñata."

.

Giggle POV:

I just couldn't stop the tears from overflowing my eyes... as soon as they enter my life, they're gone. Gloombat had her arms wrapped around me, rubbing my arm and consoling me. I couldn't stand to watch and hear all the carnage, so we sat in the dark room we were staying in...

"I know... it hurts me too." They held me tighter, placing a soft kiss to my forehead. "Go ahead, let it all out..."

"I— their fucking—!! Their fucking skull chunks were on the damn wall— they... I couldn't believe I couldn't have stopped it—" I choked out. "Everyone was just yelling— and- and—" I buried my head into her chest, my tears making her shirt wet.

They just... listened. As they always did. Silently consoled me. Her touch was gentle and light, knowing I didn't like it when she was too rough with me. Their arms wrapped around my lower back, arching me as she held me close.

I sobbed heavily, unable to keep it back. She wiped my tears tenderly, their rough skin was comforting to me. I cupped their hand against my face, squeezing it.

"I— I'm so scared... I wish we never left the mines..."

"Don't say that... it's just rough right now. I can tell they're all good people, they just... butt head a lot."

"Hopefully.... Hopefully."
