IS TO ADHERE TO SHAKESPEARE;

A COIN TO TRAGEDY. TO LOVE, TO ADORE

TO THE POINT OF WELCOMING A VIOLENT DEATH."

synopsis,

After making an outlandish remark at a soiree, little 'accidents' starts befalling a mouthy heiress.

Suspicious of the events but without actual proof of the attacks, her mother, a past American Starlet, contacts an old friend for help.

Elizabeth Bath has never particularly liked long-distance travels (or tea purists, law enforcement, or the usage of 'wee' when talking about small things), but after an unshakable unease and a series of events that are beginning to look deadly, she pitches in the help of her favourite sleuths to unravel a string far more sinister than it seems.

After a calm two years, Wendy Cain and Leon Song are invited to spend the summer at a friend of a friend's private residence off the coast in Scotland. But vacationing isn't high on their list of to-dos. Murder, unfortunately, is.

And yet the house of cards that built this fragile family is crumbling down.

One card a time.

And one buried secret after another.

notes,

This is book 03 of the Song Series.

I always say that when reading any book from the Song Series, you can read it as a standalone. And you definitely can; the main mystery, it's very meat and essence, will still make sense by itself.

But I dare say, you won't feel the impact, the grip, the tension, until you've read the first two books. Because by then, you care about these characters- the main leads and the recurring ones - and you'll have a good grasp of certain references and a good going away with the subplot of this little family.

It just makes sense to read the first two.

After all, this is the final one.

So although you can, I implore you to get attached. Get immersed.

Then come back.

For those of you who are new, I hope you enjoy the fanfare.

For those of you who have met my children long before- who, perhaps, were even here since the very beginning - thank you for sticking through this journey with them and with me. It's been such a pleasure spending these last six or so years with you.

A pleasure and an honour.

addendum,

This is book 03 of the Song Series.

Lemon Sorbet is Book 01 and Death of a Prince is Book 02, both currently posted.
