CH14- Then there was Two

Max.

For the first time, ever. 

We all came to my house, Alex's parents were having guest over for dinner and quickly kicked us out. Elio and i were sitting on the floor at the end of my bed, Chris and Ares are laying on my bed watching us play mario kart. We're taking turns... cause i only have two controller. Alex's sitting on my window bench with his phone in his face.

Elio nudged me, after i handed Ares my controller and Elio gave his to Chris. "huh?"

"who do you think he's texting?" Elio whispered. I shrug, "maybe that girl he met at the party." Elio's eyebrows shoot up, "i lowkey forgot about that, who is she?"   I shrug again, "beats me, he hasn't said anything.

"I'm thirsty," Chris wines, interrupting us after he loses the game. Elio and I roll our eyes, "then go get something to drink." 

"No, i dont wanna go alone..... Elio come with me" Chris gets up and starts pulling Elio's arm. "fine, but let go of me."  Chris doesnt listen and drags Elio with him downstairs. 

"What were you two whispering about, huh?" Ares says from above me, his mouth close to my ear making me shiver. "Nosey much?" 

Ares smirks "a little."

I look over to Alex and see he still deeply interested into his phone, he hasn't said two words since we got here. I wonder if he and that girl are getting pretty serious. 

"OoOh yeah!! You have the good snacks Max," Chris said, jumping onto my bed. He currently had two bags of hot cheetos and a bowl of instant mac'n'cheese. Luckily the mac didnt fall everywhere.

"Dude you went over there for a drink and came back with snacks." Ares laughed. "yeah, where's your drink?" I add.

"He didnt even attempt to grab one, he saw food and went burserk." Elio said, holding his drink.

"I have to go guys, lets go if you need a ride." Alex said, getting up and grabbing his keys. Chris and Elio perk up and start packing their things. Ares drove here since he drove to school, he didnt wanna leave his car there.

"what about my mac'n'cheese?" Chris pouts.

"I"ll finish it," Ares says snatching it away and took a bite. 

Chris looked shocked but didnt try to reach it back, and just pouted again, "But it's only 7, why we leaving so early?"

"I have plans.... i forgot about.." Alex says, looking away. 

Bootycall.

We all look at him knowingly, but Chris being the odd ball out still trys to ask what kind of plans. "Let's go." Alex says ignoring chris, Elio pats my shoulder as the three of them take off saying their byes' as they leave the room.  Leaving Ares and I. Just wonderful. 

"Movie?" Ares asks as i get on the bed next to him.

"What do you feel like watching" i ask, switching to Netflix. 

"anything."

"Ok. Here pick while i go get us popcorn, and snacks." I said handing Ares the remote.

I woke up to Mia looking at me with wide eyes from my door, "what?" i groggily ask. I follow her eyes to what she's gawking at; I see Ares asleep next to me in MY bed. She looks at Ares back at me, then the food all over the floor, we pushed off the bed in our sleep.  I guess we knocked out watching the movie.  What time is it? I look back up and Mia has the biggest smile while closing my door quietly. I roll my eyes, great now she's gonna freak out about nothing and be annoying. I pat the bed for my phone and see it under Ares arm sticking out a bit. I carefully grab it and he turns in his sleep to his side as he gets closer to me. 

I turn my phone on and see that it's already 7:30, we're about to be late for school. Really, Mia? She sees Ares in my bed, and decides not to say anything about school. Ugh. I look down at Ares, his hair was sticking up a bit. He had his face turned into my thigh and bed trying to hide from the light from my window. "Hey." I say softly trying to wake him up. He doesnt budge, so i hit his arm. 

"What?" he says, panicked as he jolts to sit up, with tired eyes he looks around my room and then back at me. "when did i fall asleep?"

I shrug, " I dont know, but we're about to be late for school- we have thirty minutes."

"Shit." he says, rubbing his face.

"i guess you can wear whatever I find in my closet so you dont have to rush home, then school."

Ares nodds, "thanks."

We get up and I throw him the first shirt I see and some random pear of sweat pants. I get out the restroom and ready to go and he's sitting on my bed in my clothes. My clothes. They're a bit tight but not too tight on him. I shake my head from my random thoughts and sigh, I dont think I have an extra toothbrush. 

Mia being the mindreader/stalker poked her head into my room and threw me a new toothbrush, " I have extras" she smiles, and she waves to Ares. He waved back to her, while I throw him the new toothbrush and Mia skips away. Literaly skipped away, she should not be this happy.

"The toothpaste is in the mirror cabinet." I say yawning. He nods, still loooking tired he gets up and slowly walks to the restroom. Tired Ares is quiet Ares, I think I like him better like this; where he's not constantly flirting or teasing me.
