The soft sound of rain tapping against the window continued to fill the room, a peaceful backdrop to the warmth they now shared under the covers. Seoyeon lay curled against Yooyeon, her head resting on Yooyeon's chest, their legs tangled together beneath the blanket. There was a comfortable silence between them, the air no longer heavy with unspoken tension but with a newfound sense of peace.

Yooyeon's fingers absentmindedly stroked Seoyeon's hair, her touch soft and soothing. It felt natural, being this close, as though they had crossed an invisible line and landed in a place that was even better than they had imagined.

"Are you still awake?" Yooyeon asked, her voice low and gentle.

"Mhm," Seoyeon hummed softly, her face pressed against the warmth of Yooyeon's skin. She could feel the steady rise and fall of Yooyeon's chest with each breath, grounding her in the moment.

"Good," Yooyeon murmured, pressing a kiss to the top of Seoyeon's head. "I was just... thinking."

Seoyeon shifted slightly, propping herself up on her elbow to look at Yooyeon's face. "Thinking about what?"

Yooyeon's eyes softened as she met Seoyeon's gaze. "About how... I didn't expect this. Any of this." She paused, her fingers lightly tracing the curve of Seoyeon's arm. "When you first asked me to tutor you, I never imagined we'd end up here."

Seoyeon smiled, her heart swelling with affection. "Neither did I," she admitted softly. "But I'm really glad we did."

Yooyeon's lips curved into a small smile. "Me too. I don't think I realized how much I wanted this—wanted you—until now."

Seoyeon's heart fluttered at the quiet confession, and she leaned in, pressing a soft kiss to Yooyeon's lips. "I've wanted this for a while," she whispered against her mouth. "But I was too scared to say anything."

Yooyeon's hand gently cupped Seoyeon's cheek, her thumb brushing against her skin. "You don't have to be scared anymore," she murmured, her voice full of warmth. "I'm here. And I'm not going anywhere."

Seoyeon smiled into the kiss, her chest swelling with a sense of contentment and security that she hadn't felt in a long time. Yooyeon's words, her touch, the way she looked at Seoyeon—it all made her feel safe, cared for, and more importantly, wanted.

They lay together for a while longer, the weight of the moment settling in between them like a comfortable blanket. It wasn't just about the physical closeness—they were emotionally connected in a way that made everything feel right, as if they had found something they didn't even know they were searching for.

Eventually, Yooyeon spoke again, her voice thoughtful. "So... what now?"

Seoyeon blinked, her head tilting slightly as she looked at Yooyeon. "What do you mean?"

Yooyeon let out a small chuckle. "I mean... us. Where do we go from here?"

Seoyeon's heart skipped a beat at the question, her mind racing. "I don't know," she admitted softly. "But I know I don't want this to be a one-time thing. I want us to figure it out, together."

Yooyeon's eyes softened, her hand moving to gently squeeze Seoyeon's. "Me too," she said quietly. "I'm just... I've never done this before."

Seoyeon smiled, her heart warming at Yooyeon's vulnerability. "Neither have I. But we can figure it out together, right?"

Yooyeon nodded, her expression softening with affection. "Yeah, we can."

There was a quiet understanding between them, a shared acknowledgment that they were stepping into something new, something uncertain, but also something exciting. And as long as they had each other, they were willing to take that step.
