"Hannie, wake the kids up", His favourite voice whispered in his ear. Albeit, it didn't attenuate the irritation he felt at the words. The words took Jeonghan back to their initial time in Seventeen, when a deep-in-sleep Seungcheol used to disturb his beauty sleep with the murmuring of those exact words.
"We have fun all night and go to sleep at the same time. Early in the morning, you tell me to wake the kids up. Why?! Can't you do that yourself?", Jeonghan had complained once, calmly with a smile, a forced smile.
"Hannie", The persistant voice brought him back.
Jeonghan turned a bit and hissed, "What?!"
It wasn't like all these years changed the fact that he was a light sleeper or that he loved his sleep. He wanted to stay angry, he really wanted to but Seungcheol was propped up on his elbow, looking down at him like Jeonghan was the most precious thing to exist.
The man gently moved away one strand of Jeonghan's hair and more gently caressed his cheek, "Good morning, love".
How could he stay angry when Seungcheol looked liked that, when he looked at him like that, when he talked like that, when his sleep-induced voice sounded like that, when he touched Jeonghan like that? Oh Jeonghan was weak, so weak.
Seungcheol tilted his head and blinked cutely in confusion at the lack of response. He bent his head and pecked Jeonghan on his lips to elicit one. When Seungcheol moved away, it was clear in his eyes that he wasn't satisfied with just a peck. He never was. So, he dived right back in.
"Gross, Coups", Jeonghan pushed him away before the other man could capture his lips in a full blown kiss.
The other pouted and Jeonghan felt himself getting weak- No, he was yet to brush, "And what do you mean by "wake the kids up"?! They aren't kids anymore."
Seungcheol buried his face in Jeonghan's neck, "I'm preparing you for the time when we'll have kids".
Jeonghan felt flutters at the kisses being peppered on his neck as well as at the statement.
Same-sex couples didn't have a right to adopt in South Korea. They were the first couple who was going to. They had filed a case and after a tough fight, won the same. It would be a lie to say Jeonghan hadn't thought of giving up once or twice so the credit of victory was more on Seungcheol's part. He wanted to meet the stylist from their wedding and tell her that moon and stars would've been easier to get but Seungcheol didn't back down once, simply because Jeonghan woke up one day and wanted to have kids. In the bigger picture, law was changed and adoption numbers were rising, which was yes, a good thing for parents who desired for a child but how great it was for the kid who wished for a home?
"You will do it", Jeonghan said shyly and punched Seungcheol's chest lightly.
"Okay, I will". Seungcheol's smile turned into a naughty grin as he added, "I know we can't make babies but we can do the process-"
"What are you even saying?", Jeonghan giggled uncontrollably as Seungcheol caged him in his arms and planted loud kisses all over his face and neck.
A knock on the door made them stop, "Hyung, we are coming in".
"My baby can just come in", Jeonghan cooed at Dino and deemed it better to ignore when the youngest rolled his eyes at the endearment.
"No, your baby and all of us know better than to just barge into the room of a married couple. Especially if that couple is you", Seungkwan narrowed his eyes and made a disgusted face.
Seungcheol chuckled and again buried his face in Jeonghan's neck, nevertheless. Jeonghan smiled when he felt the other inhaling his scent.
"Go do grocery shopping", Seungkwan's disgusted face had gotten intense while Dino was staring at them lovingly.
