Months have passed, and Therisha and Nathalie continue to live peacefully in the states with her Dad. Sometimes, Therisha would call her wife for their daughter to not feel sad and miss her Mama too much. While Leontine would send Therisha messages for their daughter everyday.

Therisha turned her attention to their wall clock.

Therisha frowned and let out achuckle.

: Is Nathalie awake?
: Kumain na kayo?

"Mama..." Nathalie bit her lowerlip to stop her tears. "It's been 4 months. A-Akala ko po saglit lang kami dito. I miss you so much, Mama."
Leontine couldn't answer, so she just bit her lowerlip. Nothing hurts her than seeing their daughter's suffering because of them, of her parents.
"A-Ano po ba talagang nangyari, Mama? Wala na po ba kayo ni Mommy?"
"Nathalie," Leontine took a deep sigh. "We can't tell it to you yet. Maybe when you get back here?"
"Babalik po kami d'yan?" Nathalie's eyes widened, and she immediately had hope that they might really return to the Philippines.
"I hope so, Nat." Leontine whispered.

The younger woman clicked the photo, and a selfie of her wife revealed. Leontine was wearing a white polos with her blue blazer on it. Therisha couldn't help but find the selfie of her wife so cute. She couldn't help but form a smile on her lips.

: will do. Thank you for informing me; gustong gusto pa naman niya sanang makausap ka.
: Btw, work well. Text me if you already have a free time.

Nat fell asleep on her study table. I suddenly remembered you.

Therisha let out a chuckle at the older woman's replies. She types again.

: That was when we went to Tagaytay. You were still working kahit na on a vacation tayo. Nakatulog ka tuloy sa table mo.

: Really? That was three years ago! You still have that picture?
: Delete that, please 😅
Therisha couldn't help but laugh at Leontine's reply.

Their routine has always been like that since Therisha and Nathalie left for the states. Leontine always sends messages to Therisha for Nathalie. Kapag may free time, Leon would facetime her daughter para hindi ito maging malungkot masiyado.
On the other hand, Therisha can't stop thinking about their situation. Is this really the space she wants? If Nathalie wasn't here, I wouldn't have any more reason to have a connection with Leontine at all.. and why am I even thinking about that?

"Mommy!" The girl ran towards Therisha and hugged her. "May message po ba si Mama?"
Therisha took her phone from her pocket and checked Leontine's contact.
"That's weird," she whispered. "Your mama hasn't sent me a message since yesterday."
Maybe.. she's busy?
"Don't worry, baka busy lang si mama mo. I will text her nalang."
