Cal's Pov:When I looked up to meet her eyes I could feel a shiver run down my spine, there was a look of such pure hatred and rage that swam in her eyes. Through-out all the Momiji was normally a very calm and somewhat cold person, and she always tried to keep her cool in every situation. However with her hands slammed onto the table in front of her and a fire in her heart I hadn't seen in years worried me. "What do you mean they're in danger!?!" She growled, and I looked over to Ricarro for some support but when I looked at his darkened face I knew there was no hope there. "Hey, hey, calm down. Don't rush into this too quickly, you know the rules." I remind them, though it just felt futile. "Where. Are. They." Ricarro cut in coldly, already looking like he was about to kill someone, and I honestly wouldn't be surprised if he did, those kids were his world, even if he wasn't around as much as he wanted. "Just-" a sigh " Just let me explain.".
3rd person POV:
He watched as both Momiji and Ricarro looked at eachother, seemingly trying to decide whether or not they should listen, before finally sitting back on the floor cushions after a few moments. "When I went to talk to them, Dina told me that the barrier had been broken and they were at the camp." "WHAT!?!" Momiji shouted in anger and worry. "Let me finish," Cal asked coldly, trying his best to keep the two demigods as calm as he could.
"She apparently stopped King Mitch and saved Xylo from dying." a confused noise escaped from Riccarro's throat. "She said that the other versions of me and Inpu were there, though I suspect the others are there too." he trails off slightly, now starting to think aloud. "The main concern I wanted to warn the two of you about is that the safe zones are already up, and Dina is trying to fix it all by herself." and while both of them processed what he had just told them, a thought seemed to come up in one of their heads. "What about Roja? You said he was in danger but you didn't say anything about him?" Momiji asked, voice now dripping with concern and confusion. Right, that..
He had purposely tried to leave that part out. "Right.." he muttered, trying to find the right words that wouldn't make them both go into a complete frenzy. "From what I can gather, something..bad happened to him," he said quietly. "I don't know what" Cal stated, trying to prevent them from asking him more questions he didn't have the answers to. "But when I was talking to her, she said that she "couldn't even save Roja", so I can only assume.." The twin looks of horror and protective anger he could see just from their stances alone made him tense. "I'm going to kill them," Momiji said cooly before standing straight up and making her way to the door, her tone leaving no room for discussion or argument. Cal couldn't let her go though, no matter how much he wished for the same.
These were his kids too after all, even if they weren't related by blood. He got up abruptly and rushed to stand in front of her, stopping her from making a mistake he knew she would regret "I can't let you Momiji, you know how fragile these things are." "Are you fucking kidding me?? My son is in danger and could be being hurt right now and you're trying to stop me?!?!" She bites back angrily, venom dripping from every one of her words. "Yes I am." He knew he was picking a fight he wouldn't win, but there were some things that he had no other options in. "I know you're worried, I know you want to save your son, but there are rules for this stuff, ones that we have to follow. You know this." "But!-" He knows what she's going to say, and it wasn't something that could be negotiated. "If two of the same person are in contact for too long,-" "-'it'll cause a paradox' I KNOW!!" her breath heaved, claw-like fingernails digging dents into the floor table in front of the goddess. "That is my son!! You can't just tell me not to save my God's Damned SON!!"
"I know Momiji, I'm sorry.." I sighed while dropping my face into my palms, exhaustion weighing down my body as I slump into my arms. "I'm so sorry..."
