I didn't have anyone now, I had just lost Daryl, the only person I really trusted in the group.
I knew I had Maggie but I wasn't her first choice, Glenn was, he would always be her first choice.

That night Michonne took guard at the front gate so I couldn't sneak out there, I shoved my stuff in my backpack and attached my machete to my belt loop along with my gun to my thigh.

I looked down at my crossbow as It was rested on my bed, my fingers tracing it before slipping out of my cell quietly.

It was pouring outside so I would be able to slip out easily, the thunder masking my footsteps. I slowly crept by Rick's cell looking at him asleep with Judith in his arms.

I smiled faintly before walking out of the cell block, not even noticing Daryl wasn't on the perch.

I slipped through the quiet corridor my footsteps thumping against the concrete floor.

"Where the hell ya goin?" A gruff voice made me stop in my tracks, I turned my head and was met with Daryl's confused eyes locked on mine.

"I'm leaving." I muttered turning back around not being able to face him, "Again?" His voice came out quiet this time.

"Ya ain't ever gonna see me again Dixon, be happy." I scoffed and looked at the opening of the prison, the rain fell hard against the bricks of the remaining wall and thunder boomed loudly above.

"What the hell ya' talking about?" He grumbled walking towards me, "I don't want ya to leave." He muttered looking at me.

"It'd be better if I did, people like me don't deserve a group like yours." I spoke looking down at my boots.

"And what about Rick? Huh? Carl? Maggie? You just gonna leave them cause you think you ain't good enough for us." He stepped closer, his chest slightly ghosting mine.

"I know I'm not Daryl. You guys- you guys are a family here, I'm not, I don't have a family." I muttered looking up at him while shaking my head.

"Not anymore." I whispered looking down, his rough hand cupping my jaw making me look up at him.

"What about me? Ya gonna leave me?" He muttered pulling himself closer to me, his rough finger brushing my bottom lip.

The sun started to slowly rise, the rays shining into the opening of the prison from where we stood.

He leaned forward his lips brushing over mine, almost hesitantly before pressing a firm kiss to my chapped lips.

His hand cupped my jaw as he let his crossbow fall to the floor with a clanging sound, his other hand holding onto my waist pulling me closer.

Someone cleared their throat making us snap our head in their direction, we looked over and saw Maggie and Glenn smirking at us.

"Y'all done? We need your help out here." Maggie smirked before grabbing Glenn's hand practically dragging him away as he protested.

My cheeks were burning and I looked back up at Daryl, his eyes already locked on mine, "Ya still gonna leave?" He questioned not stepping back just yet.

I just shook my head  and grabbed my backpack jogging to catch up to him, screams echoed throughout the prison and we ran towards the cell blocks.

There were walkers every where, I grabbed my machete and stabbed one through its head before  running upstairs, throwing my bag in my cell then running back towards a walker that stalked towards a young girl.

I stabbed it in its head as carol grabbed her and put her in a cell with a couple other kids, I threw her my knife and she followed after me as we ran towards the other cell blocks.
