Epilogue

Aliara stood at the busy airport, staring at the flight board; 

Ivan's flight had landed 15 minutes earlier. Her heart was pumping the same way it had in senior high school when her phone rang with Ivan's name displayed.

She snatched it up and whispered hello. "Hey Carina, I walked out of the plane a few minutes ago and will be there in the next 30 minutes," the man on the other end said, making her grin excitedly.

She only said "Hurry up" before hanging up the phone. Four years passed, and they had all gone forward. Belle even began working while pursuing her degree in computer science.

Uma pursued a difficult career and flew to Romania to become a doctor, while Aliara, like Belle, remained in town to study artificial intelligence at the university. Mariana followed in Belle's footsteps, and Guliana lost contact after graduation since she departed to study in her home country.

Federico had relocated to a distant town in search of the education he desired. Still, as Uma had said, his relationship with Sofia lasted only a year after graduation.

Speaking about Ivan, he did go to Italy after two months of receiving their final results, but things did not go as planned, and he was unable to return every year. He only returned twice before obtaining his degree.

Being away had caused a number of difficulties in Aliara and his relationship, but they had gratefully overcome them.

They even took a break last year after their parents found out about them, generating a commotion between their fathers, but thankfully, this did not lead them to split up because their mothers approved and took matters into their own hands.

Uma had learned about their situation shortly after they had gotten together, and she was relieved that the plan to involve Scarlett had worked out so successfully.

Federico and Uma had agreed to request that Zara include Scarlett in the preparations even though she was not required causing her to meet Ivan at the farewell, and everything had settled as a result.

The others had found out about their relationship on the day they all met before Uma left for Romania, and to Aliara's astonishment, they were not surprised, saying, "We had gotten a hint."

Aliara thought as she looked at her phone again, receiving a text from Belle and Uma, to which she responded. Suddenly, a white rose appeared on her phone screen, covering it.

She looked up to see a well-dressed Ivan smiling at her. "You look beautiful Carina," he whispered next to her ear before carefully leaning to kiss her forehead, making Aliara's heart fill with joy and awe.

She swiftly wrapped her arms around his neck and hugged him, which he joyfully accepted. "Welcome back!" she exclaimed, unable to let go, making Ivan giggle as they stayed for a few minutes before walking out of the airport, their fingers linked together.

Ivan grinned at Aliara, who was concentrating on the road while driving. This felt like home, he reasoned before calling his parents.

Ivan removed his last suitcase from the trunk, and one of the helpers took his luggage to his room, leaving Aliara and Ivan at the door of his home. "So, how does it feel back home?" she enquired as the two stepped into the living room.

"Peaceful, I guess, but no one is at home," Ivan's voice sounded low, but his ears perked up when they heard a scream, prompting them to rush to Ivan's room, from which the voice came.

They burst open the door to find Federico clasping his hand over Luca's mouth, shutting him up, but his eyes widened at the sight of the two in front of him.
