After a thorough search of the basement I went upstairs to search the place room by room. First I checked the floorboards and found a box with all sorts of explicit pictures. People in a compromising position. The next floor board that came loose had a plastic bag with a hammer. There were dried flakes on the hammer and inside the bag. Forensics and others went crazy searching the entire building. Soon more horrors came to view as a tech recovered a few photographs and videos. The contents were too graphic to describe.

When my uncle called me I recorded the conversation making sure that he is deemed guilty while I was innocent. I handed the audio as evidence that if anything happens to me it is his fault. The others promised to protect me. I got a letter to attend his appeal. The other wished me all the best As they were sure his groupies will try to hurt me. There was an hour of discussion about what we will do. I smiled, "The evidence that landed him in prison was an audio conversation. The judge can't overthrow that." The others were skeptical as evidence goes missing all the time. I winked, "I kept a copy just in case." There were cheers all around.

Brody came to ask if he could stay over. His apartment was being fumigated. I gave him the spare keys and asked him if he could help with Gus's last will and testament. He wanted the stuff in his storage unit either destroyed or sent to charity. I will need his help sorting it out. He promised to help me on Wednesday since it is his day off. Van Pelt watched from a distance and she waited till we were done chatting to ask if he would consider going on a dinner date. Brody said that he would be honored. He will be free around nine. The two talked and he went back to work.

The people that my uncle was blackmailing were informed that the stuff was now destroyed so they don't have to follow his orders anymore. My uncle called me to give me a piece of his mind. He was pissed that I had finally discovered his private stash. He had discovered this when he called someone in his phone tree. The man on the other line claimed that he has no clue who my uncle was. The man was livid and he wanted nothing more than to rip me to pieces. He said his life was amazing till I walked in on him killing that kid. Ever since then I have made it my personal business to hurt him in any way, shape or form. He ordered me not to attend the appeal or it will be the last day I live. I promised to attend the hearing and asked him to do whatever he deems fit but at the end of the day he will still get the death penalty. I even played the audio to fan the flames. He swore like a sailor and hung up.

I asked the captain for personal time to handle my dead husband's belongings. I promised it would only take a day. I just want things put right. She gave me permission and I called Brody. He picked me up on his bike. We arrived at the storage unit and had to break the lock. The door slid up and I was awed by how much stuff was there. My storage unit was close by so I pulled out a shredder and started to shred all the papers. Brody took the photos and put them in a duffle bag. The weapons used were placed in garbage bags. By the time we were done sorting it was five in the evening. We called jack and he brought his truck to transport the stuff. We saw that someone was tailing us. So after an hour of maneuvering we managed to shake them off. The shredded paper and photos were burnt. The tools used to kill Gus's victims were pulverized and then thrown into the sea.

Jack and Brody dropped me off before they drove off to complete Gus's will. I sat down and was about to eat something when I got a call from Brody. He was arrested. I happily explained to the arresting officer that we were implementing Gus's will. We had a stranger tailing us. I can only assume that it was my uncle's groupies. So no doubt that the guys were duped. The officers still took Brody to the station and I was asked me to meet them at the station. Henry drove me. I showed them proof and the woman was confirmed as a known groupie. The rookie apologized as he let my friends go. I smiled, "Two more days and then it's pumpkin time for Cinderella. Whatever cloud he is on. He is going to come crashing down like the Hindenburg. The next few days his cronies will be following me in order to discredit me. All of this to ensure that he walks a free man." The rookie asked who I was talking about. The one next to me blurted, "The Toy Maker"

The poor rookie jumped out of his skin. He apologized to me and promised to be more careful. He asked me if there is anything that I needed. I smiled, "The groupies will make a phony nine one one calls. They are trying very hard to ensure he walks so keep an eye out. I have no doubt that I will be SWATED." The captain gave me her word that the officers will be informed of my address. So if anyone makes a phony call they will send SWAT to the caller's address. I smiled, "These guys are just warming up. So heads up guys." The man shook my hand and promised to be extra vigilant.

I came home and was enjoying dinner when Brody told the others what had happened. Henry asked why this had happened and I explained that I exposed his private stash of blackmail material so he knows the noose of tightening around his neck so his supporters are trying to discredit me. DD asked me what I had planned for the next few days. I said that I am having Cheryl placed under protective custody and DD is going to double his security. Henry made the arrangements. I am chaining myself to desk duty. I might even go through the old archives and try to make sure I cross the Ts and dot it Is.

The next day Henry drove Cheryl to school after she learned the password. If anyone says that something had happened to us and she should come with them. She should ask them for the password. We agreed on Mandela. He seemed like a good option. DD got the password Ubiquitous. I had the password of Kraken. DD and Henry had a hard time keeping a straight face as I said what I wanted for a password. Cheryl thought it was overkill. But dropped it as she was going to get last for a Chem test.

I drove to work in a car with tinted windows. I made sure to activate the burglar alarm because I walked into the building. The groupies had arrived with photographic proof that I was up to something. I smiled, "Those bags included dirty magazines that Gus's dad kept in the storage unit. I simply burned them." They showed the pictures of the garbage bags and demanded to know what else was inside. I didn't hesitate as I mentioned that Gus's dad likes to hurt his mother. After his abuse session he would take pictures as memorabilia. He had a history of violence and Valerie's medical files were there along with everything that made Gus and brother's lives a living hell. I simply destroyed it as per his wishes since he couldn't even look at them without having an episode. I smiled, "Gus suffers from PTSD both from the war and his abusive childhood. He was going to therapy for it"

The witches didn't believe me so I called the prison and had my uncle confirm Gus's childhood abuse. The women walked out without another word. The captain asked me if I needed the day off. I smiled, "I am fine. You know for round one that went amazingly well." Van Pelt gave me a look and walked back to her station. I had emptied the contents of my storage unit to Gus's. So if anyone gets any bright ideas. They will appear to be the dimmest bulbs on the planet. I smiled, "I have nothing to hide so I am ready. But my only concern is my family. If these bitches try anything to hurt them. Then all bets are off. I will not rest until they are behind bars." The captain smiled, "Don't worry I have placed plain clothed officers to keep an eye on your spouse and the ward."
