I honestly don't know what I'm doing here, so uhm, I'm just going to write my own doll into the story, a doll I've had a very long time. I had too much ideas for this so uh, two entries I guess. also I'm listening to classical music to make you feel like a 19th century villain so I guess TW: for unhingedness
TW for: spooky doll doing a spooky lil thing and uh JuMPSCaReS
takes place in a modernish au

Entry 1:

Jimmy made his cup of tea, and sat down on his couch to read a book. He was definitely not watching Toy Story, he has absolutely no idea where you get that assumption.

Jimmy sipped his tea and definitely read through chapter four of (I dunno a book Jim would read so HERE! HAVE MY FAVORITE BOOK SERIES!) Percy Jackson.

yes, he is reading PJO, no you can not stop me.

Just as the chapter finished, which he was definitely reading and was not using as an excuse to watch Toy Story, Jimmy noticed a small movement in the corner of his eye, nothing much really just a small flinch in the shadows. Barely even noticeable.

Jimmy noticed it.

Jimmy turned around in his seat to watch the shadows for what seemed to be nine minutes. The shadows didn't move again, but he saw an odd reflection. What seemed to be a small pink bear crawled out of the shadows and its small purple eyes stared into Jimmy's soul.

Jimmy felt his heart feel like it stopped, and a sense of dread invaded and polluted his emotions. The bear sat down and looked kind of cute if not for its unblinking eyes locked onto Jimmy.

It was literally Toy Story come to life. The bear fiddled with the purple bow around it's neck before walking again.

The bear made a soft thump each time it stepped on the floor. The bear made no motion of violence or anger, but just walked forward which was almost scarier.

'Wh-who are you?' Jimmy stuttered, trying to sound brave.

'Who are you?' The bear repeated in a voice sort of like a young child's.

The bear had spoken to Jimmy without moving it's mouth or anything. The bear stopped dead in it's tracks, and stared at Jimmy, 'Jimmy,' The bear said softly.

How does the bear know my name?! He thought before the bear continued 'Join us Jimmy.'

'Join who?!' He cried.

'Your brethren, the toys.' The bear answered still looking at Jimmy.

'I-I am NOT a toy.' He snapped.

'Denial will do you no favors, Jimmy. Join us, we need you.' The bear said, tilting it's head from side to side.

'I am NOT a toy!' He repeated more firmly. 'And, you should NOT be able to speak or move.'

The bear didn't make another sound but instead lunged at Jimmy.

To say Jimmy was scared is an understatement, Jimmy was way past scared, he was in between a bedwetting and a near-death experience.

Then, just as the bear came for Jimmy, he woke up in a cold sweat, his tea still warm and Toy Story still playin- I mean his book in front of him.

Norman had jumped on Jimmy, and was purring.

The bear wasn't real, he wasn't a toy.

Yet, there on the floor was a pink fuzz and a purple string.

warning this one is going to be WAY shorter, Entry 2:

Lizzie was just brushing her teeth and changing into her pyjamas. Lizzie read a book for ten minutes before closing the book and turning the light off.

Lizzie lie in bed for a few minutes comprehending what she had read and also half staring into the dark abyss.

Lizzie thought she heard a noise in the back of her room, towards the dresser.

Lizzie sat up and stared into the abyss trying to make out a dark shape on the dresser. She hadn't put anything there had she? She didn't remember it.

Lizzie could just make out a smaller humanoid shape looking back at her. It almost looked like a six-year-old yet smaller and more scrunched up. It had blond pigtails that free-fell into the rest of it's hair.

It looked like a little girl, sitting on Lizzie's dresser and watching her sleep. She turned on the light and sure enough there was nothing there. When she clicked the light off the thing appeared again.

It's probably just some clothes, it's nothing.

But it wasn't nothing, which was proven when it tilted it's head from side to side, just blinking slowly with a wide smile.

Lizzie's heart began to race, and the little girl knew it. The dollish thing grinned widely at Lizzie and giggled. The giggle seemed to rip the air into a million pieces, which confirmed it was definitely there and she wasn't just imagining it.

Lizzie turned her light on again and the girl disappeared but the giggle remained and so did the grin.

Lizzie was scared out of her wits, and thought about running, then quickly dismissed the idea.

She turned the light off and the smile seemed to shine brighter than before.

The smile was definitely getting bigger and shinier. Lizzie was fixated in horror upon the smile.

The doll tilted its head again, but the smile didn't move. It just kept getting shinier.

The smile almost hurt to look at yet Lizzie kept staring. Then she realized it wouldn't stop shining, so she quickly closed her eyes.

She tried to go back to sleep despite the blinding light and her fear of the doll on her dresser. Tears began to roll down her face and wet her bed sheets.

Despite Lizzie's fear she fell asleep and woke up in the morning to find that there wasn't a doll on her dresser but instead a collection of clothes, a hairbrush, and Meri's collar.

However, Lizzie knew she hadn't imagined the doll. The giggle and that bright smile was too hard to forget or even make up.

Lizzie took the items off her dresser so the doll wouldn't come back the next night. Lizzie made herself a cup of tea and kept the doll to herself, not wanting to appear crazy or scare any of her friends.
