"Mama, wook!!"

Ace doesn't wait for me as he runs after the butterfly, weaving his way through the sea of dandelions, his giggles bouncing in the air and echoing inside my eardrums, soothing my soul instantly.

"Baby, careful! Don't run too fast." I call after him but he's too busy chasing after various kinds of butterflies to care about falling.

I let him be, he's happy and that's what matters. Leaning my back against the tree trunk, I take a sip from my cup of tea, closing my eyes as a sudden wave of breeze brushes past me, ruffling up my hair.

Among the wavy dandelions flowing along with breeze, I spot my little boy now kneeling down and plucking out some flowers.

"Whatcha got there, baby?" I call, he looks up briefly, offering me a toothy grin, then focuses back on his task.

Shaking my head, I chuckle and continue to enjoy my tea, I'm very much loving the breeze of the winter morning, though it's chilly, but the soft sunrays blanketing upon us is helping in keeping us warm.

So, it's perfect.

After a while, Ace comes running back to me, holding up a few flower stems, the petals long flown away, but the smile on his face is more beautiful. I accept the stems and take his hand, giving his palm a soft peck.

"Thanks, baby."

"Wewcome, mama."

"Come, sit now. Gotta eat something to boost your energy, right?"

He nods and flops down on the picnic blanket across from me. I pull the front of his hoodie closer so he's warmer.

"Wan' miwky."

"Milky won't get your stomach full, love. Have something solid first." I offer him a fruit sandwich which he loves.

He accepts it and happily munches on it, getting cream smeared all over his mouth. I take out my camera and snap a couple photos of his adorable face, a collection to add to our new photo album, creating memories of a lifetime.

As soon as he's finished, he jumps on his feet to get back to chasing the insects, but I quickly grab his hand to stop him and wipe his mouth clean.

"Hey, drink." I hand him his flask and he hurriedly swigs some water down and rushes off to the field.

I put away the food and other stuff back in the basket, except the camera.

Ever since Ace had graduated, we have been visiting places to spend some quiet and quality time together, not too far from our town, places where Ace could be himself freely. He still feels a bit insecure about slipping in crowd, but places like this, where no one's around, we are more ourselves and happy.

So, I take as much photographs as I can to seal the beauty of the memory to our brains forever.

These are the moments that solidifies our bond and give us strength to carry on without any fear or care about the adversaries that may hinder our peace in future. Because no matter what, our togetherness would always push us forward, shape us into stronger frames, and there's nothing we need to be worried about facing alone anymore.

"Ace! Let's go now, baby!"

"Okie!" He chirps.

I stand at the end of the narrow road in between the dandelion field, watching Ace running towards me. His blonde hair flopping and flowing along the wind around us, his cheeks tinted pink and as the sunrays reflect upon his silvery orbs, they shine like they harbour the world's happiness, and I know they do.

How did I get so lucky?

"Mama!" He yells and the sound bounces, hitting my heart and my eyes water, I'd never get enough of how much I love it when he calls me with such endearment.

"Baby!"

I extend my arms in time just as he jumps into them and I lift him up, spinning us around, both of us laughing loudly.

"Let's go home."

"Home!" He exclaims happily.

Laughing with him, I put him down on his feet and grab his hand, walking to our car.

Heading for our home.

I can't wait to make many more memories with my baby, many more happiness awaits us and I'll never let anything disrupt them, ever.

Because we deserve it, we deserve the world.

My baby and I.

The End.
