- No, we're not going anywhere...responds Jules teasingly and sarcastically, his eyes never leaving Ann-Marie's

No wonder why, I feel like a child. I really feel useless and defenseless in that kind of situation. It's not like I can help it anyways. Afraid to say anything, I remain close to Jules, breathing heavily.

So you know about my little plan huh? Right. Now, get back with me...retorts Ann-Marie as she glances at me

Why should I? You gave me nothing. Not even love, not even care. What makes you think I'd like to get back with you? Asks Jules rhethorically, his voice dripping with sarcasm

His ex-girlfriend snickers, glaring at me with disgust then back at him with a mischievous grin.

You love her, don't you? You want her to be safe? Get back with me. I can buy you anything you want to, forever...murmurs Ann-Marie

I look up at Jules, my arm still looped in his as I try to get a reaction from him. I feel him hesitating slightly, but when he sees me, he changes his mind.

No. I don't want that, I don't want you.

Ann-Marie's fake smile falters, then she quits her act. At the time she glares at me, she seems confident and arrogant again. Her Azul eyes sparkle as she brushes a hair through her thick, blonde hair. Without hesitation, she abruptly grabs my hand.

Don't touch her. Orders Jules as he pushes her away from both of us.

- She doesn't deserve you. I do. And you deserve better than that idiot jerk that ruined my life! Yells his ex

Anger issues. The only thing coming to my mind. Maniac. I bet that would be her definition in the dictionary. Jules looks at me, his eyes narrowing, his expression changing.

What did you do, Nora? He asks in a voice full of concern, but rude

I didn't do anything to her! It's all about my best friend! I defend, raising both of my hands in innocence

YOU STOLE MY BOYFRIEND! YOU RUINED MY WHOLE LIFE! Continues Ann-Marie, staring at me with hatred

Jules pauses, confused. I think he's torn with the feeling of getting with the one he loves but hurting someone he hurted, or getting with someone he hurted but hurting someone he loves.

Annoyed, I decide to respond to her. I hate her. I hate that she thinks she's the best at everything, she's such a spoilt brat...

You used him! For money, popularity, and everything you could ask for! Jewelry? Obviously? Prom dresses? Why not...? And now you're so mad that he doesn't want you, so you decide to blame it on me? Wonderful job, Ann-Marie, you're mature!

Confused and stunned, Ann-Marie remains silent. She just stares at Jules in silence, then at me with hatred, before leaving, bursting out crying as she runs away. I notice Jules glancing at me with a half-relieved face...I look back at him with a sigh, wondering what Ann-Marie could do to us now.
