The Jolly Roger glided smoothly into port, the crew bustling with excitement as they prepared to disembark. Amira felt a rush of excitement herself, the familiar sights and sounds of the bustling town filling her senses. It had been a long journey, and now that they were back in port, she was eager to stretch her legs and explore.

Once everything was in order, Amira and the crew made their way to the local tavern, the familiar noise and warmth of the place welcoming them. As they settled in, laughter and conversation filled the air, the crew spreading out to enjoy themselves after weeks at sea.

Amira sat next to Killian, her heart still fluttering from their shared dinner the night before. Things were changing between them—slowly but surely, they were opening up to each other, allowing themselves to be vulnerable, to feel. It was thrilling, and it made her want to be near him, to stay by his side.

As she glanced around the tavern, her eyes narrowed slightly when she noticed a woman approaching their table. The look in the woman's eyes was unmistakable—she was making her way directly toward Killian, her gaze fixed on him with intent. Amira felt a pang of jealousy, her heart pounding in her chest.

Without a second thought, she decided to do something bold, something she had never done before. She turned to Killian, her eyes meeting his for a brief moment before she climbed onto his lap, her arm slipping around his shoulders as she settled herself comfortably.

Killian's eyes widened in surprise, but a slow smile spread across his lips as he realized what she was doing. He glanced at the approaching woman, a flicker of relief crossing his face. He didn't want to speak to her, didn't want to entertain whatever intentions she might have had. And now, with Amira in his lap, he had the perfect excuse.

Amira leaned in, her voice low and teasing. "Mind if I join you, Captain?" she asked, her eyes glinting with mischief.

Killian chuckled, his hand resting on her waist as he looked up at her. "Not at all, love," he said, his voice filled with warmth. "I can't think of anyone I'd rather have here."

As the woman continued to approach, Amira decided to put on a bit of a show. She knew that, as Selena, she could get away with being bold, with saying things she might not normally say. And maybe, just maybe, it wasn't entirely an act.

She leaned closer, her fingers brushing against Killian's chest as she gave him a playful smile. "You know, Captain, I think I've grown rather fond of this spot," she said, her voice filled with a hint of flirtation.

Killian raised an eyebrow, a smirk tugging at his lips. He played along, his hand gently squeezing her waist as he looked into her eyes. "Have you now?" he asked, his voice low. "And what exactly is it about this spot that you find so appealing?"

Amira's eyes sparkled, her heart pounding as she tried to keep her composure. "Oh, you know," she said, her tone teasing. "The view is quite nice... and it's rather comfortable."

Killian chuckled, his gaze never leaving hers. "I'm glad to hear it, love. I wouldn't want you to be uncomfortable."

The crew, who had been watching the scene unfold, exchanged surprised glances, their eyes wide with shock. They had never seen Amira—or rather, Selena—act like this before. It was bold, it was flirtatious, and it was... well, surprising.

But as they watched the two of them, it became clear that there was something more to it. The way Killian looked at her, the way Amira's smile softened when she spoke to him—it wasn't just an act. There was something real between them, something that went beyond the playful banter they were putting on for the approaching woman.

The woman who had been making her way toward them finally paused, her expression shifting from determination to uncertainty. She looked at Killian, then at Amira, and with a small huff, she turned on her heel and walked away, clearly realizing that she wasn't welcome.
