Chapter 15

(Natsu's P.O.V.)

"So...Erza...there's some guy that Luce isn't telling me about and, well--"

"Listen to me, Natsu," Erza lowered her voice to a whisper. "Now your need to really think hard because we need to find someone that can't be traced back to either of us...to visit this guy.

"What are you talking about?"

"Because if he's traced back to either one of us..."

"I don't want anything--"

"Cops are smart. They're not dumb."

"Erza--"

"Here's what yah gotta do. Make a few phone calls tonight--especially around 10."

"I don't want anything to happen to the guy!"

"Good." Erza smirked, winking. "I gotcha."

"I think it's time for you to go home..." I muttered. She nodded subtly. "Make sure your neighbors know you're at home. Especially around--"

"10. I know." Then I slammed the door.

Time to find Lucy.

(Lucy's P.O.V.)

"Alright, Lu-Chan? That's all we can really do for now."

I nodded, and Levy gripped my hand, tight. "Thanks. It means a lot that you even bothered to listen to me--though this all sounds farfetched."

I smiled. "Oh, well, it's not a big deal. You're my friend. And isn't Gajeel coming soon to pick you up?"

"Yes, he should be here any moment now--"

"Someone is here looking for a...Lucy Heartfilia?" The nurse asked, her darting eyes finally settling on me. "She says her name is Lisanna Dragneel."

(Natsu's P.O.V.)

In the Hospital lobby I see Lisanna, and she sees me, eyes wide with panic. "Natsu--what are you doing here--"

"I'm looking for Lucy."

She seems to deflate a little, frowning. "Oh."

"I haven't seen you in almost days, Lis. What's going on? You're with Gray now?" My voice was rising, though it wasn't jealously I felt. If Gray wanted Lisanna, he could have her. People sitting in the lobby looked at us curiously.

"We can't talk about this right now. I didn't come here to fight you. I came here for Lucy."

She stands, still, not meeting my gaze. "Just...for...Lucy..." She whispers, on the verge of tears.

"Natsu? Lisanna?" Turning around, I saw Lucy, who looked confused and upset. "What's going on?"

"Please, take this outside." A male nurse said, standing stiff and straight, betraying little emotion. After all those questioning glances, I happily obliged.

(Lucy's P.O.V.)

"Why are you two here?" I asked, looking at them both. Natsu and Lisanna both seemed equally distressed.

Lisanna, however, appeared as if she were about to break down into a rare display of human emotion.

"It's Father, Neesan." Her voice was a weak whisper. "He's dying."

"What?"

Oh my gosh. I never thought...

"So, Natsu," Lisanna hissed, turning to face him. "That's where I was. Visiting my dying Father." Her words held a venomous tone.

"Lis..." He whispered, obviously ashamed.

She hands him a photo--and his eyes widen in shock. It was a car. Natsu's car. And inside, you could see me...and Natsu. The kiss.

"After I inherit my Father's estate, I'm filing for divorce. You two seem to have fun by yourselves, anyways. I can get everything from you. After all, Natsu, you cheated on me. I'm a lawyer, too."

Natsu seemed crushed. Devastated. He said nothing, just looked at the photo with a blank face, in shock.

"But you--" He began.

"You have no evidence that I ever cheated," She said, a sick smile beginning to form.

Then something clicked.

"We do!" I yelled suddenly, triumphant. "Furin."
