My mom questioning my best friend wasn't something I ever thought I would witness. Especially in a situation like this. Tella was sitting in a hospital bed. the doctor had just examined her to make sure she wasn't hurt badly and everything was okay. We were still waiting for some of the results so I decided to stay with her. She didn't want her mom to know what had happened so we came up with a story. We also told her she wasn't allowed to visit yet because of the tests they were doing. I feel sorry for Tella's mother. I would want to visit my daughter as soon as possible.

My mom was sitting in a chair in front of Tella with a notepad in her hands. She kept asking her questions about what had happened last night. I, however, was just sitting in the window frame looking outside as I tried to distract myself from what had happened.

"No Misses Cho, There was no animal near us. It was just this weird-looking man. He had his hood up when he approached us so at first I thought it was one of the students pulling a prank. I went over to him to confront him." Sounds like Tella. She doesn't want to believe bad things would happen. So for her to approach him was very in character.

"Tella, do you understand that it's very hard for me to believe that it was a person who attacked you like this?" My mom asked her while closing the notebook. She leaned forward a bit to look Tella in the eye. I know that my mother wanted to believe her as well, but it was her job to look at the case realistically.

It's not physically possible for a human to leave cuts like that. The way the skin tissue had split can only happen when claws scratch your skin. I knew it too, but I refused to think about it realistically. Tella would never have reacted this way if what she had gone through hadn't been as traumatising as it had been. "I understand but..." My mom raised from her chair and put her hand on Tella's shoulder.

"Take all the rest you need. we'll talk about it again once you feel better." Tella let out a huge breath before my mother smiled back at me and left the room. My mother's smile told me she cared for Tella. She did want to tell her that she believed her, but she simply couldn't. How would she explain the situation at work?

"Your mom thinks I'm a lunatic." I scoffed at her comment and pushed myself off the window frame. "She doesn't. She just has to think about the case in a realistic way." I said as I sat down in the chair my mother was on moments ago. "What is not realistic about a man attacking us? I don't understand." She put her hand up to her head and flinched slightly. She was probably dehydrated after all the alcohol from last night. "I'll get you something to drink," I told her as I walked over to the water machine in her room and filled her a cup.

I know a bit of hydration would do her some good as it helps with your physical performance. Her headache would be gone in a moment when she's hydrated. I turned around proudly to give her the cup, but to my surprise the bed was empty. "Tella?" I asked, afraid she might have gone into the bathroom to vomit. I dropped the water and ran into the bathroom, ready to hold back her hair. I usually hated it when people got sick. I would get sick myself, but somehow when it happened to Tella I didn't have to think twice about helping her.

Confused I walked back into her hospital room and looked around. Maybe I was just blind and missed her. "Tella?" I said a bit louder this time. As I noticed the window was open I ran up to it, looking down to make sure she hadn't jumped. I know she probably would never think about jumping but just the thought of it made my knees go weak. When I noticed the pathway was clear and Tella hadn't jumped I ran into the hallway to look for her there. "Tella?" I yelled looking down the hall. She can't have gone far, can she?

"Eunjin?" My mom walked up to me with a concerned expression. "Did something happen?" I looked at her and to my surprise, she seemed to be completely clueless about the situation. Wouldn't she be able to see Tella leave the room if she had been standing here all this time? "Did you see Tella walking out of her room?" I asked her just to be sure. Getting more and more concerned about what had happened. "No, what are you talking about sweetie?" I pushed her arm away slightly as I put both my hands on my head.
