My head was pounding as I woke up. There were muffles voiced coming from the hallway, making me realise I was still in the castle. At least I think I am. I opened my eyes as I remembered the events from last night. It took me less than a second to sit up straight and look down at my hands. I was expecting them to be full of the thick red substance and for it to be all over my hands and clothes but there was no blood on either of them. It was almost like it didn't happen. Still, I was able to feel the recoil from the gun in my arms. There was no way I didn't shoot the gun.

I touch my head softly, trying to remember if it was a dream or not. The memory seemed foggy enough to be so, but something was wrong. There was this nagging feeling inside of me that I wasn't able to place. As I moved my legs over the edge of the bed I realised my arms were hurting slightly. It must be because of the force that pulled me back when I shot the gun. It was stronger than I thought it would be, so it's only normal to be sore.

I stood up from the bed and brushed my hand over my clothes again. I was a bit bewildered about the fact there was no red substance visible. I could still feel the heaviness of the gun. Surely it wasn't a dream. "Eunjin! Are you okay?" A young man walked into the room looking at me with a lot of worry on his face. "Please sit." He said as he grabbed both my arms and pulled me down onto the bed to sit next to him.

His fox-like eyes looked me up and down before making eye contact with me. Does he mean if I'm okay because of the accident? Didn't I shoot his leader? He is supposed to be mad at me, isn't he? I just stared at his face, trying to figure out why he asked me if I was fine but I wasn't able to read his expression. "You've slept for days, I was worried that you might become ill." He spoke as if he had known me forever.

The amount of familiarity in his voice made me a bit calmer than before but it didn't stop me from feeling confused. He didn't even bring up the fact that I had shot someone or the fact that they saved me from that weird guy yesterday. This confused me even more. It caused me to feel slightly frustrated. The more I tried to piece together what had happened the more I started to doubt myself. Maybe it truly was a dream.

Would there be another explanation for the voices in my head? Or for the blood that was spread across my face and clothes that were all gone now? No, I shouldn't doubt myself. I knew what had happened. I had shot a man. A man who I assumed to be dead. A cold shiver went down my spine as I thought about the fact that I killed someone. It wasn't just my fault though. He helped me pull the trigger himself.

He must have been crazy. Why would he help me pull the trigger? Did he want to die? "Eunjin?" The man was still holding onto my arms as he tried to get my attention. "I'm sorry- what?" I didn't hear anything about what he was saying. He let out a slight chuckle as he looked down at our hands. "I'm going to grab you some water, please stay seated. You must still be feeling weird. Also, my name is Sunoo!" He stood up from the bed after his weird introduction, leaving my arms weirdly warm. Normally when someone lets go of your touch it leaves a cold trace. But his touch was colder than I expected it to be.

Maybe it was because I was worrying about everything that had happened, or because I was feeling sick. I wasn't feeling nauseous or anything but if this man told me I had been sleeping for days, maybe that was why he was feeling colder than I was. I ignored his order to stay on the bed as I walked toward the door. I peeked into the hallway, not wanting to see anyone I didn't know. Maybe this was the perfect opportunity for me to leave the castle and get back home.

I sneaked out of the bedroom and tried to walk as quietly as possible as I made my way down the hall. This was the first time I saw this hallway. I was surprised to see how huge it was. It was even bigger than my entire house back home. I kept walking, not knowing where my feet might take me until I saw a familiar figure in the hallway. It was one of the guys who was helping me before. He didn't seem to notice me as he went into a room. Did he just act like he didn't see me?
