Don't get me wrong. My best friend is the loveliest, most caring person in the world and I love her so much that I would kill for her. But when she forced me to go to these college parties, she was the one I wanted to kill.
I hated parties like this. They were just a way to seem more popular and to act like we had a lot of friends. It was just not something I like to do. Most of the people we hang out with at parties are ones we do not know in our daily lives. We only know who they are and talk to them when we're drunk, which I planned on getting the moment we arrived.
I wanted to drink so I could forget that I was there. "Oh, come on! It will be awesome." I shook my head. "I'm sorry, but the only reason I'm going is because you are there and you know that. So the least you could do is get me a drink as soon as we arrive." she laughed at my words and winked. "I'll make sure it's something strong." I rolled my eyes playfully and looked back into the mirror to check my mascara.
Tella had always cared about what other people thought of her. She wants to be loved by everyone, which is exactly why many people have so many different opinions about her. I could understand why that was happening. She acts differently around everyone. One time she is this happy bubbly person and the other time she's this mysterious girl. She changes her personality based on who's surrounding her. I tried to tell her she didn't need this kind of attention, but she didn't care.
I know who Tella really is and I know how she acts when it's just the two of us. So I don't really care about her behaviour toward others. I love her and I would protect her no matter what. Even if this phase in her life is sometimes putting weight on me. She is still my best friend and I'll try and protect her.
"Okay, the others are already there so let's go!" She said while grabbing her bag off of the floor. The cherry red matched perfectly with the rest of her outfit, especially with her cherry boots. She knew she looked stunning. She was the most beautiful girl in our school. "Yeonjun is there too." She winked as she pulled me off of the bed. I groaned in response as I let her lead me down the stairs.
"You girls have fun okay? Don't forget to stick together." Tella's mom said as she opened the front door for us. "Mom, we're not going to get abducted." Tella rolled her eyes as she pushed me out of the door. "You know what's been happening in this town, Tella." Her mom's voice got more serious as she watched us make our way toward the woods.
Her mom was right, there have been weird abductions in our town recently. People disappear without a trace. No one knows who is doing it or why they're doing it. They only know the person who's committing the crime seems to only be interested in girls. There seems to be no connection to the girls he is taking in any way. They all have different hair, eyes and even different ages. There's no obvious reason as to why this is happening. We don't even know if he has killed the victims or if they're still alive.
I know this because my mom is in charge of the case. She's been working on this case for weeks now and there has been little to no process. This person seems to vanish along with the girls. He leaves no traces. It's like he doesn't exist. "Tella, your mom is right. Let's not leave each other alone tonight. Weird things have been happening." She only laughed in response. Making me feel like I'm starting to go crazy.
Was this case my mom was on just trying to spook my head? I mean what even are the chances of getting abducted? I started to laugh along with her, not sure if it was because I was nervous or actually thought I was stupid. I knew Tella didn't care about things like this. She's the kind of person to think: That doesn't happen to me. I have to give it to her, she's always the one who gets lucky. Call it manifesting if you like.
As we reached the part of the woods where the party was held, we noticed there were lights and stands set up. It looked very cute and fun, Meaning Yeonjun probably organised this. His parents were crazy rich. Hence why Yeonjun usually made sure these parties were perfect. As we made our way to the first stand to get a drink the boy with the fox eyes came up to us. He was probably about to get a drink himself. "Eunjin, Tella, welcome to the party," he smirked down at me as he leaned against the stand.
