The conversation I had with Sunoo in the library was still occupying my thoughts. What if he could really help me with bringing back my memories? I walked toward the couch in my room, not wanting to lay in bed until midnight. What if I fell asleep? I couldn't wait any longer. I needed to know what those memories were. There was this sudden feeling of belonging when I thought about that. It was almost like I needed the memories to come back to me in order to live my life the way I should. It was confusing, exciting and at the same time tiring. I wanted to think that there was nothing missing from my memories but I would lie if I didn't feel like I was missing something. It was the way the whispers came into my mind sometimes, or the images when Heeseung was around.

The warmth of the fire covered my face, and my busy thoughts kept running around In my head. I couldn't help but feel my head getting heavy. No! I thought. I need to stay awake and go to Sunoo's room. It didn't matter how hard I fought the tiredness, the darkness took over anyway.

I don't know how long I had been asleep but if it wasn't for Sunoo walking into my room, I would've slept until the morning. "Eunjin, you awake?" He asked softly as he approached the couch I was lying on. "Yes! I'm up!" I yelled as I shot up. I had to blink a couple of times because the light of the fireplace was too bright for my eyes. "Perfect! you're tired." Sunoo said as he let himself fall onto the couch next to me. looking satisfied with how tired I was. "Now it may work even better."

I looked at him confused. "Okay, tell me what I have to do," I said a bit curious about how he was going to help me. " You're that eager to start, huh?" I nodded excitedly. Of course, I was. I couldn't wait to get access to my memories. Sunoo leaned toward me a bit more. "Alright, I need you to close your eyes and focus on the feeling you told me about earlier."

I was a bit hesitant because I was afraid of the feeling between Heeseung and me. What if it wasn't related to the memories I lost?  I took a deep breath before closing my eyes and thinking about the feeling between Heeseung and me. It took me some time to really feel it. When I thought about Heeseung there was this warmth that radiated from Sunoo.  "I'll try," I said as I struggled to find the right feeling.

Sunoo reached to grab my hand. I felt a surge of energy coursing through me when he touched it. "Just let yourself go, breathe." His voice sounded distant, almost as if it was a past memory. With each inhale I felt myself sinking deeper into a calm state. It was almost like meditating. The world around me started to fade away. Sunoo's voice became less clear as I felt myself getting lost in the depths of my consciousness. "Do you see something?"

There it was, the same flashes I saw when I first met Heeseung. The blood on my hands, his face. Only this time, I felt guilty. It was so strong that it almost put me out of the state I was in. "I..... I see flashes."I answered honestly. My heart was racing as I kept seeing the same image. My hands were covered in red. "I see blood, dark figures," I said. Seeing cloaked men surrounding me I looked up from my bloody hands. "Try to focus on something happy," Sunoo said. "Let happy feelings guide you." I tried to hold onto a happy feeling. As I concentrated, images began to coalesce. I felt warmth. There was this feeling of someone being near me. Someone familiar. Heeseung. His face appeared in my mind, but it flickered like a candle. The image was just out of reach but I could tell it was him.

"Keep going, you're doing exceptional," Sunoo said. His voice encouraging. But suddenly the images of blood came back, shadows started to close in. I couldn't help but feel scared as the happy thoughts left my body. Suddenly Heeseung was trying to pull me back. 'wake up'  He was warning me about something.

"You have to stay with it." Sunoo urged. his grip tightened slightly. For a moment I was a bit lost between Heesueng's words and Sunoo's. Should I wake up? "You're doing great." The panic only increased when I noticed the blood was also on my clothes and as I tried to touch my face, I smelled and even tasted the iron thick liquid. "no, stop!" I gasped as I felt my body stiffen. I was starting to panic and it was getting harder to concentrate on the happy feeling. "I don't want to go there!" Sunoo tightened his grip even more to show me he was right there with me. At that moment I felt his presence. He was keeping me from getting swept away by the chaos. I don't know how it was possible for him to join me in this memory, but I was glad I could see his reassuring face.
