She will soon have to choose Dare or fear.

"I know what to do."

She had a flash drive chip. She took it out and plugged it into the laptop and started waiting for the data to be downloaded.

She choose dare.

(Y/N)'s eyes locked onto the computer screen, the download progress ticking upward:

32%...33%...34%...35%...

Her mind wandered, lost in a maze of thoughts.

"Data is the new currency," she mused. "But what's the exchange rate for secrets?"

The hum of the computer and soft beeps created a symphony, echoing her racing thoughts.

"Code is poetry," she whispered, "and hackers are the poets of the digital realm."

As the download progressed, (Y/N)'s thoughts delved deeper:

"Information is power, but what's the voltage of truth?"

The screen flickered, numbers marching upward:

40%...41%...42%...

"In a world of ones and zeros, what's the value of the unknown?"

(Y/N)'s gaze drifted to the notes scattered nearby:

🔹Project '10'

Puzzle pieces swirled in her mind, refusing to align.

"Kevin will know," she assured herself. "He'll decipher the code."

The download continued, each percentage point a heartbeat in the silence:

50%...51%...52%...

Suddenly, the screen paused at 53%.

(Y/N)'s heart skipped a beat.

"System pause," the computer announced. "Authentication required."

A prompt appeared:

"Enter decryption key..."

(Y/N) face-palmed, staring at the screen.

"What kind of key would they use? Quantum encryption? RSA algorithm?"

Her eyes sparkled.

"Ah, maybe a Vigenère cipher? "

"No.... Definitely not!"

She pondered, tapping her chin. She typed "Project 10" into the prompt.

The screen flashed:

Authentication failed. Incorrect decryption key.
(Error Code: 0x0000014A)

Like you, (Y/N) also did not read the error code.

(Y/N)'s thoughts accelerated.

"Think, think, think..."

Suddenly, footsteps echoed outside the room.

Her heart rate increased, but she focused on the task.

"Adrenaline's cortical boost won't help me now," she reminded herself. "Dopamine and logical reasoning will."

She took a deep breath. Her thoughts cleared.

"Wait a minute... What if it's not about complexity, but simplicity?"
