Surrendering the Bensons

just a normal day

It was a relaxing Wednesday for the whole squad and one of those rare days off where everyone had plans.

Amanda was playing with franny in the park, nick was haveing a rare day with his 2 kids playing catch, fin and the captain went to see the ball game together after munch had canceled and olivia was doing some therapy shopping with her daughter Giana at the mall.

None of them thought this would be a day that would change all thier lives but especially that of olivia and her 15 year old daughter.

Olivia was looking at some dresses near the dressing room as Giana came out of one if the rooms wearing some jean shorts and a purple top. "So what do you think?" Giana asked stepping in front of the mirror.

"It's cute, but the shorts are a little shorter than I'd like" Olivia said.

"Mom, it's fine." Gia sighed. "Stop having such a work brain" she continued.

Olivia sighed "ok ok I guess it's alright."

Gia smiled and hugged her mom and went back to the dressing room.

Olivia's phone rang and she answered it "Benson...what amanda?" She sighed "come on its my one day off this week....yeah yeah...ok I'll be there as soon as I can." She said and hung up.

"Sorry Gia I got to go in to work so we got to cut this short sweetie." Olivia said through the door.

Giana sighed and got dressed.

After paying for thier things and walking to thier apartment Gia said "can you ever just have one day off where they don't call you in?"

"I know I know I'm sorry I'll try to be back soon. Keep the door locked..." Olivia started.

"And don't let anyone in unless I know them. Yeah yeah you tell me every day mom I got it." She said.

Olivia rolled her eyes but smiled and kissed her daughters head before walking out and locking the door behind her.

Gia sat on the couch with her laptop and did some homework and checked her socials.

Olivia walked in and set her purse on her desk "ok amanda this better be important or my daughter is going to murder me" she teased slightly.

Amanda explained why she brought everyone in on thier day off.

"So we are all here because of a flasher? Really you couldn't handle this alone?" Olivia asked.

"Its not just that his finger prints are all burned off. He can't or won't tell me where he's from and he says his name is William lewis but of course I can't confirm that. Something seems off here." Amanda said.

The squad took turns interviewing him and soon they all got the same off feeling as amanda "good call amanda this guy is definitely not your average creep" Olivia admitted.

"Ok let's get him arraigned and that will get us enough to get his dna and maybe we can figure out who he is that way." Cragen said.
