As we walked in 1st period and we have a stupid seating chart, Elijah is three tables behind me and a pretty attractive guy named Connor, beside me. ¨Good Morning children¨ the teacher, Mrs Bose, says. ¨Morning¨ Elijah and I reply. We take our seats, I notice Connor staring so I slightly smile.
Connor looks so familiar, I feel like we have met before. ¨Hello¨ he says. ¨Hey, I'm sorry but have we met? You look so familiar.¨ he chuckles ¨Yeah, I sat beside you in 9th grade.¨ my mouth makes an O shape.
¨I remember you! You are the one that flipped the teacher off after she marked your girlfriend tardy!¨ he nods while chuckling. ¨Oh my gosh, I can't believe I forgot you¨ the teacher shushes us and I nod
¨Today we will be studying diseases¨ Mrs Bose starts ¨ You will be given a disease and partners I assign you.¨ The class groans, including me. ¨I know, I know, but think of this as an opportunity to make a new friend.¨ She walks back to her desk and gets her clipboard with partners and diseases. The class's side conversation began as she walks around and assign partners.
¨Name?¨ she asks me ¨Oh Calista¨ she runs her pen down her clipboard till she finds my name. ¨Your partner is Elijah and your disease is asthma.¨ I mentally scream. Of course I got Elijah as my partner. When she walks to the table behind me and I slam my head on the table. ¨Are you okay Calista?¨ Connor asks. No, I have the meanest and biggest egotistical guy as my partner. ¨Yeah i'm fine.¨ he nods. ¨Alright¨
The bell rings, I walk out to go to my 2nd period, English. I walk into English and see I don't know anyone in this class. I walk to the back and take a seat and put my airpods and play music (song above) . The teacher starts talking and asks ¨In Animal Farm by George Orwell, Who does Napoleon represent?¨ I know the answer so I raise my hand, my sleeve starts falling down so I hold it up. ¨You¨ she pointed to me. ¨Joseph Stalin¨ She nods ¨Correct¨
I start thinking back to last night.
** Flashback Yesterday*Self-harm and Rape*
¨Finally, after 4 long years, You're finally home.¨ My father starts his speech slurred. ¨Where should we start? I think I want to start with you.¨ He points to Alex.

He then turns to me. ¨I've missed you Calista¨ I shake my head with my hand over my mouth. ¨No¨ I whisper.
He walks to me, and I start backing up until my back hits the wall¨I'm going to have so much fun with you¨ He may be my dad but he is a monster. My flight or flight kicks in, I start running away He picks me up over his shoulder, I'm kicking and punching his back and screaming. "PLEASE NO¨ he's going to rape me..
He's never done this before, he's touched me not in a fatherly manner but never this. He walks into his room, throws me on his bed and locks the door.
¨Please don't dad¨ I see the fire in his eyes ignite, he slaps my face, my over and over until I can't feel my left cheek. ¨Don't call me that again. In front of people, its father when no one is around, Its Erick. Got it?¨ I stare at him terrified. He grabs my face tightly ¨GOT IT?¨ I nod vigorously, tears welling up in my eyes. ¨Good girl.¨ he purrs.
¨Now lay on your back and take off your pants¨ He tells me while taking off his own. I start crying and do what he says. He's going to take my virginity. I cry even harder
After I do he crawls on me. ¨I've been waiting for you to come back home¨ Home? This is home? I don't remember home being like this? I remember home being mom in the kitchen baking brownies or muffins, not being scared to walk in the front door. Not school being my esca- ¨AHHH¨ he slides into me, all of him. I cry even harder.

I almost get out of his grip and he grabs me. "If you don't stop, I'm going to punish Alex worse." He threatened. "Please." He smirks "Good girl" He continues and I block out the pain and think about the people I'm going staying for.
I just have to let it happen. I'll pick Alex over me anytime. As long as he don't get hurt! I'll live. Alex is the most important thing in my life and Isa and Elisa, I guess Elijah too.
I hate to admit but ever since we've came back, Elijah has been less annoying. Like the night we watch the movie he didn't mind that I feel asleep on him, actually he wouldn't let me get up. He's probably just a cuddler.
My dad finally collapses beside me panting. "Go to your room. If you tell anyone I will hurt Alex until he never wakes up." I nod and go to my room.
As soon as I am in my room, I put sweats and a hoodie on. I go into my bathroom and get out the blade from the first aid kit that I have hidden. I bring the blade to my thighs and cut. At least 10 times.

The bell rings and I shake the thoughts and blink the tears away. I get my stuff and go to lunch. I walk in the lunchroom and sit with Elisa, Isa, JJ, Alex, and Elijah. I sit in between Alex and Isa. ¨Hey Callie, are you okay?¨ Alex asks me quietly. I nod and smile at him.
¨PARTY AT MINE TONIGHT DON'T FORGET!!¨ Jackson says on his chair. ¨Babe sit down¨ Elisa says giggling, pulling him down. He sits beside her and puts his arm around her kissing her forehead. I wish I could have that. I see Alex's hands ball fist and I smile knowing he's jealous.
Isa nudges me. I smile ¨ What's wrong girl?¨ I look at her and shake my head, smiling ¨Nothing¨ I turn to Alex and Elijah ¨What the hell happened to you?¨ Elijah asks Alex. ¨I went to the gas station to get Takis, and 5 homeless people jumped me.¨
I smile sadly at his lie and look at my hands. ¨That's crazy¨ JJ remarks, Alex chuckles ¨Shut up, man.¨ Alex grabs my knee and rubs it. He mouths ¨You sure you're okay?¨ I smile at him and lean on his shoulder. "I love you Alex" He smiles and leans his head on mine. "I love you too Callie"
