Tyra is sitting alone at one of the tables in the cafeteria, Dakota walks up and sits down across from her. Tyra looks up and looks at her, admiring her
Tyra: Hey
Dakota: Hey.
Tyra: That's not what I think it is, isn't it?
She gestures to the mix CD peeking out of Dakota's backpack.
Dakota: What do you think it is?
Tyra nods her head but also clenches her jaw.
Tyra: I think that's a mix CD. Yeah, I think you're trying to woo the spoiled heart of Lyla Garrity with a CD that has a brunch of sappy love songs on it
Landry: I thought it was a good idea
Dakota: Shut up, Landry!
Landry: Okkie dokkie, shutting up now.
Tyra: How about you go back to your little lab and cook something else up? Something that shows a little bit more of that big adorable brain of yours, Lovebug.
Dakota: Oh. O-okay.
Tyra: Here's a hint; spend some money.
Dakota: Tyra, I'm not gonna let you down
Tyra sends her a fake smile as Dakota stands up and walks away. Tyra sighs banging her head on the table
Tyra: Stupid spoiled bitch. Hate her.
RIGGINS HOUSE
Dakota reaches into her nightstand pulling out a plastic bag, she holds it out towards Lyla
Lyla: What's this?
Dakota: Open it
Lyla takes the bag and reaches inside pulling out a necklace with her birthday gemstone in the middle. She gasps
Lyla: Wow. Where did you get this?
Dakota: I brought it.
Lyla: How much did you spend on this, Kota?
Dakota: 50 bucks. Do you like it?
Lyla smiles, clasping the necklace around her neck then cups Dakota's face in her hands and kisses her, Dakota kisses her back
Lyla: I love you
Dakota: I love you.
NIGHT
Tyra knocks on the door. A few seconds later, Lyla opens the door and steps outside on the porch
Lyla: Hey Tyra
Tyra: Lyla. Is Dakota here?
Dakota opens the screen door and walks outside.
Dakota: I'll be right back
Lyla nods and heads back inside the house; Tyra rolls her eyes
Dakota: Hey, what's up?
Tyra: Actually, it's about Tim. He's been drinking again
Dakota: That's........kinda of the norm.
Tyra: Yeah, well, your brother doesn't see anything wrong with it. It just seemed like he was doing so much better. I just thought you could.......
Dakota: Look, you can't help him, okay? Tim's gonna do what Tim likes. He chose our asshole Dad in this situation. He's made his bed, now he's gotta lie in it.
She turns and opens the screen door and heads back inside the house, closing the door behind her.
STORE
Landry, Matt, and Dakota are in an aisle looking at condoms
Landry: Let's see what we got here; Endure.......Lasticon....True Fit.....Magum Pro, Extra Big
Dakota: Oh, there's even one that supposably smells like cherries.
Landry: Cherry flavored Dick? I would eat that
Matt and Dakota frowns their brows looking at him with weird looks
Landry: What?
Dakota: We could cancel out the Mega, I believe. I think you should get the Lasticon
Landry: I think you should get True Fit.
Matt: Let's just.....
Landry: Hold on, wait! God, I mean, this is an important decision here. Matt, you gotta look at everything
Dakota: Did you hear what Smash says? It's all in the details.
Matt: None of this is gonna matter if I die of embarrassment first.
Dakota: Do you think I died of embarrassment when me and Lyla got caught in the dressing room at Wal Mart?
Matt: Wait what?
Landry: Huh. Didn't think Lyla Garrity would be down for public sex but go on. Keep talking.
Dakota: Quit being a baby. Oh by the way, I need tampons
She walks away down the aisle
Landry: Now I'm gonna die of embarrassment.
Matt: Why do they need wings for anyway?
Landry: Fly like a bird? I don't know.
GARRITY HOUSE-NIGHT
Lyla is laying on the couch with Dakota's head resting on her lap, Lyla smiles running her fingers through her hair
Buddy opens the door and walks inside waving at his daughter; Lyla waves back.
Lyla's mom is in the kitchen, Buddy approaches holding flowers out to her. Lyla watches them in confusion
Dakota notices her confused look and frowns
Dakota: What? That's not normal
Lyla: No. No it's not.
Something's really bad is gonna happen to our girl Dakota and she's gonna go through a lot in Season 2.
Something will definitely happen between Dakota and Tyra. But Lyla's endgame.
