GARRITY HOUSE
Pam opens the door revealing Buddy standing there holding flowers in his hand.
Buddy: Hi, Pammy.
Pam: I want you to leave right now.
She goes to slam the door but Buddy puts his hand up stopping the door
Buddy: Pam, please, please, please! Pam! Be calm, okay?
Pam: What do you want, Buddy? What do you want?
Buddy: Let's just be calm. I have something really special that I'd like to present to you.
He holds out a photo album
Buddy: This is the Garrity Photo Album. All the good times. Look at this.
He opens up the album and begins flipping through the pages.
Buddy: Remember these?
Lyla walks down the stairs.
Buddy: Lyla.......helped me put it together.
Pam takes the album
Pam: I need you to listen to me when I tell you I don't want you coming over here again. You have done enough
Buddy: Pam.......
Pam: You have done enough to embarrass me in front of this entire town.
Buddy: Pam, look.
Pam: No! Okay. No. You have made a laughingstock out of this family to the point where I have considered leaving my home. You take your damn memories, Buddy and you get out
She shoves the photo album harshly into his chest and slams the door in his face.
Lyla: Mom....
Pam: Lyla, I do not want you taking his side again.
Lyla: I'm not taking his side
Pam: Yes, you are, Lyla and it hurts.
Lyla: I didn't. Mom, he made one mistake. Doesn't he deserve a second chance? I mean, you can at least talk to him.
Buddy is standing on the other side of the door
Buddy: Please, Pammy.
Pam: You don't know what he is.
Lyla: He made one mistake!
Pam: He is a liar!
Lyla: He is my father!
Dakota walks out of Lyla's room slowly making her way down the stairs.
Pam: He has been unfaithful to me for our entire marriage. It isn't just Angela! You don't think I know about Ruth? Your last secretary and why she left?!!
Lyla blinks her eyes staring at her mother in shock.
Lyla: What are you talking about?
Pam: And I am sorry that you have to hear this. I'm sorry your own daughter has to hear me say this.
Lyla: Mom!
Pam: You bastard! Look what you've done to us!
Buddy: It's not true, Lyla.
Pam: I am sorry.
Buddy: Pam, please.
Pam: Sorry.
She turns and walks away. Dakota looks at her girlfriend seeing tears in her eyes. She approaches the door and opens it
Dakota: You need to leave, Mr. Garrity
Buddy: Dakota, please. Just let me talk----
Dakota: You need to go. Please?
Buddy sighs in defeat but sadly nods his head and walks away. Dakota closes the door and walks back wrapping her arms around Lyla's waist burying her head in her chest. Lyla wraps her arms around her crying into her shoulder.
