If you said

If you said your heart was breaking,
I'd break mine just the same,
Giving you the spare fractured pieces,
To fix your beating flame.

If you said the spark was dwindling,
I'd light myself on fire,
I'd keep you warm and safe,
And burn myself with raw desire.

If you said the stars were dimming,
I'd rise to take their place,
I'd guide you through the endless dark,
Lead you through endless space.

If you said the rain was heavy,
I'd drown to clear the sky,
I'd swallow the dense rain clouds,
So you could continue to fly.

If you said the sea was sinking,
I'd flood the shore with tears,
Drown the earth in endless waves,
To wash away your fears.

If you said the light was fading,
I'd carve the moon from stone,
Hang it high above your eyes,
So you're never left alone.

If you said our love was fading,
I'd burn myself anew,
Set the heavens all ablaze,
Just to stay with you.
