Till Death Do Us Part

During the upcoming months, demon slaying became more demanding. They got information about demon slayer marks. They were instructed to try and unlock one and train more demon slayers as they were told a war may be coming.

Sanemi and Giyuu were training demon slayers together. The demon slayers thought it was cute with how Giyuu and Sanemi would act with each other then when they were caught awing at the couple and not focusing on their training they were scolded by the both of them and given extra work to do.

Then the master was killed. Along with Amane, and his daughters.

It was tragic.

Right after that they fell. Sanemi watched Giyuu fall first right before the ground opened underneath him. He was panicking the whole time wondering if Giyuu was okay.

He didn't know what he would do without Giyuu. What Daikon would do.

Then the second worst thing happened to Sanemi, he lost his only remaining sibling. He let out cries filled with rage and sadness. 

Then he realized what situation he was in and got the fuck up and was prepared to end this demon's life. 

Then right after that, he had to help Giyuu and Tanjiro fight Muzan. He was happy to see Giyuu alive, but then he saw something that made him pissed. Giyuu losing his arm.

He eventually got his head cracked open and was really injured to the point he couldn't fight anymore. Kakushi surrounded him as he laid on the ground covered in bandages. As he was laying on the ground going in and out of consciousness. He heard and saw someone talking to him, they looked familiar but his vision was blurry and he couldn't really hear. 

Then it felt like they laid something over his body, covering him to keep him warm.

"Am I dead?" He thought to himself. The figure left him and he wondered who it was. Then he lost conscious.

Giyuu was the one talking to Sanemi, he left his hoari with Sanemi to keep him warm because he didn't know if he was coming back. He left into the battle where he was met with the death of Muzan and the rise of demon king Tanjiro. 

He had to make the hard choice in telling any demon slayer near by to kill him. But he could tell it would be hard for them since Tanjiro was a dear friend to everyone and was kind. Then Kanao came and freed him of the curse of the demon. When he was sure it was all over, he dropped to his knees and fell to the ground exhausted.

He unlocked his mark.

Lost an arm.

Thought he was going to die.

He thought Sanemi was going to die.

Sanemi...

Sanemi....

Sanemi......

"SANEMI!" He yelled as he sat up in a bed. He looked around and realized he was in the butterfly mansion. He calmed down and then the door swung open. It was Sanemi. He was wide eyed. He ran to Giyuu and was going to place his hand on Giyuu's face, Giyuu stopped him as he saw Sanemi's hand wrapped up. "Your hand." Giyuu said seeing it. Sanemi chuckled. "You should see your's, this is nothing compared to your's." Sanemi joked placing his forehead on Giyuu's.

Giyuu chuckled at Sanemi's ability to still laugh. "Me, you, and Uzui are the only one's left, right?" Giyuu suddenly asked. The air became thick and filled with tension. "Yeah." Sanemi said. Giyuu sighed and hugged Sanemi. "I thought I was going to die back there, to be honest." Giyuu mumbled.

"I thought I was, I couldn't hear or see you leaving your hoari with me, what did you say in that moment?" Sanemi asked, holding Giyuu.

"I said, I loved you. And everything was going to be okay but if I didn't come back, to take care of Daikon and to take care of yourself." He recited. "Then I thought you might be cold, so I covered you with my hoari." He added. Sanemi sighed and hugged Giyuu a little tighter.

"Well, let's go home to Daikon together." Sanemi said. Giyuu nodded and he stood up with the help with Sanemi and they left the butterfly mansion and went home.
