For the rest of the days counting up to the marriage contract signing the two would have dinner together every night. They would grow more comfortable with each other every visits but Sanemi started to worry. He was worrying about what the marriage would do to their growing relationship. He sighed, there was only a single day left. He was sitting in his estate looking at the marriage ornament he was going to give to Giyuu the very next day, along with the picture he found and his families old home. He wondered how Giyuu felt.

With Giyuu he felt happy and excited. But Sanemi didn't know that. Giyuu's love for the wind hashira grew by the second. He looked at his gift to Sanemi, and even though he wished he could give Sanemi something bigger something more, he thought the gift was perfect. He was planning on how to give it to Sanemi.

They both went to sleep. The next morning at the same time a knock was brought upon their door, it was loud and woke both of the up, Sanemi went down stairs and opened the door to his estate. Giyuu doing the same to his estate. It was a Kakushi.

"Hello Hashira Tomioka" They bowed.

"Hello Hashira Shinazagawa." They bowed.

"I am here to drop formal clothes off, for you to wear so you and your spouse can wear to the marriage contract signing. Please meet me out here when done, I will escort you there." The Kakushi explained. Both hashira's took the clothes and changed. Then went outside to meet the Kakushi. The followed the Kakushi and Giyuu and Sanemi both ended up meeting half way. They both had their wedding gifts in their pockets.

They walked into the Ubuyashiki estate and were escorted to the room where he waited for them to arrive. He was sitting higher off the ground, and was wearing formal clothing. He had both of their marriage contracts next to him.

They sat across from him and they started the marriage contract signing. It was simple and quick they signed their names on both pieces of paper, and in red ink left their thumb print on both pieces of paper. Amane Ubuyashiki who was next to her husband took the paper and looked at them. "Congrats you two are now legally married." Sanemi looked at Giyuu who didn't seem to look up set. He seemed calm. They had to have their picture taken and it took a while because of the stupid photographer and Sanemi wanted to snap at them to hurry up but he didn't want to upset Giyuu.

They finally got their picture taken and they got handed a pair of keys to their finished estate, instead of going there Sanemi grabbed Giyuu's hand and took him somewhere. It was a small hill that had a cherry blossom tree. They stood underneath it. "Are we giving our gifts now?" Giyuu asked. "We can trade gifts, I brought you here, because I don't know how you will react and if you react a certain way I'm sure you wouldn't want anyone else to see." Sanemi explained. Giyuu was confused but decided to not question it. Sanemi pulled a box out of his pocket. He handed it to Giyuu. Giyuu opened it and his eyes went wide upon seeing the gift. It was the picture and it had the marriage ornament on top of it. "Where did you get this?" he asked looking down at two objects he thought he'd never see again. "I visited my home town and saw a house with your last name on it I went in and found these, the original picture frame was damaged so I had it replaced." Sanemi wasn't surprised to see some tears falling down Giyuu's face, but he was kinda surprised to see a smile. "Thank you Sanemi. This means a lot to me." Sanemi smiled. "It was no problem, Giyuu."

"I'll give you my gift now then. It isn't as amazing as yours but someone told me something special about it." He reached into his pocket and pulled out a small box he handed it to Sanemi. Sanemi opened it, he was a little confused seeing the strings. "Well, after someone made me realize something, I understood I don't know what I'd do without you so anytime your away, I will have the green one and you will. have the blue one." he grabbed the green one and took out his old hair tie and replaced it with the green one. He then grabbed the blue one and grabbed the handle of Sanemi's sword and pulled it closer to him, he tied it around the handle. "I'm sorry if it isn't extravagant or anything fancy." Giyuu felt kinda embarrassed about his gift now. "No, I understand. Thank you Giyuu I love it. But my gift isn't done." Giyuu was a little surprised, what more could Sanemi give him. Sanemi pulled a pair of matching keys out of his pocket. "I'm sorry I don't understand." Giyuu said really confused about the keys. "These are the keys to your families home in the old village, I bought the land and got rid of everything except that house, I had it fixed and restored to its old form." Sanemi explained the keys, Giyuu's eyes went wide, he couldn't believe what Sanemi was telling him, tears fell again. He ignored the keys and went into Sanemi's arms, Sanemi held him close. "We can go visit it now if you'd like?" Sanemi asked. "Can we?" Giyuu asked in a muffled tone. "Yes, I will send a letter myself." Giyuu looked up at Sanemi. "Alright, then let's go." Giyuu said with a smile, they ran down the hill hand in hand. They headed out on the same day leaving without talking to anyone about their marriage. They just took off to the piece of land. They made it by sun down. They approached the house, Giyuu was looking at it remembering everything. He ran towards the door and reached into his pockets  and took the keys out and unlocked the door. He slid it open, Sanemi had caught up with Giyuu and entered with him. Giyuu looked around and cried with a smile on his face remembering all the wonderful memories he had growing up in this house. Sanemi held him close with a smile knowing Giyuu was happy with this gift.

They were now staying the night, the were in the bed room sitting side by side on the futon, Giyuu was going to tell the story of this house and his sister. "Well when I was really young, my parents died due to an illness, so it was just me and my sister. The woman in the photo. She took care of me for a long time. She is also the reason I don't like wedding ceremonies. You see the night before her wedding day, a demon entered our home, and she protected me from it, but she died doing so." Giyuu took a breath in and let it out. "After that I tried to tell people of this town, but they thought I was crazy, no one believed me and at one point I thought I was crazy, they had informed distant relatives of mine who were doctors, they were going to take me away. I didn't want to go so I ran away. I nearly died but I was saved by a passing hunter, he took me to my master's house, the former water pillar and that is where I started my training." Giyuu explained everything. He thought it would hurt talking about that topic but actually talking about it to Sanemi it didn't hurt as bad.

"I'm sorry that happened to you Giyuu. " They sat in a comfortable silence and while Sanemi was sitting there he felt the weight in Giyuu's body become more heavy and he heard slight snores. Giyuu had fallen asleep. Not wanting to wake him up he stayed there and didn't move it wasn't long before he had also fallen asleep.
