Saturday came quickly and even though I was tired after the intense school week I looked forward to the party.
It really had been a long time since we all went out partying together. This was going to be a fun night.
I put on black tight jeans and a black and grey silk shirt leaving a few buttons undone. I styled my hair parting it in the middle and put on my earrings and a necklace and looked in the mirror.
Still looking tired I applied some black eyeliner and did a smoky eye.
Feeling good about myself I took a picture and made a post on Instagram.

The loud music could be heard from the street and there were a lot of people hanging out on the porch, there was loud laughter and you could tell most of them had been drinking a lot already.
As we went inside the music got even louder, people were dancing and drinking all looking like they needed the break from school to have some fun as much as we did.
We made our way to the kitchen to get something to drink. I downed a few shots before taking a beer walking back in to the crowded living room.
I loved dancing, I had danced at an academy when I was younger but a knee injury prevented me to go on.
I walked in to the crowd of drunk sweaty bodies and let the music flow through my body. I didn't know where my friends went but we could meet up later. The music was good and everyone was having a great time. I downed my beer and started dancing with my eyes closed. I really needed this after this week.
Suddenly I felt a vibration in my pocket.

Insta message from San.

"Looking good, you having a good time?"

I smiled and texted back my face and body all warm

"Yeah but I wish you were here"

I pressed send before I could think about what I wrote

"Really?"

"Yeah"

Where did this come from. I usually wasn't this straight forward but I guess the shots I downed made me a tiny bit more bold. I walked outside breathing in the cool night air as I looked at my phone

"Where are you right now?"

"I'm at a party, I just went outside for a bit"

"Do you wanna meet up?"

My heart felt like it was going to jump out of my chest. This wasn't just casually messaging about your day this was flirting and it was real

"Can we do that? Can you do that?"

"Meet me at Banpo Hangang Park near the fountain"

"Ok, I'll be there" I answered without hesitation.

I messaged my friends telling them I had to leave and ran to the train station.

I was so nervous when I walked towards the park.
I could see him standing by the water. The fountain and its lights made me pull up my phone to take a picture before walking up to him.

I stood beside him not saying anything.
"Isn't it beautiful. I love this place"
He said looking out over Han river.

"It's nice" I said looking at the beautiful lights.

We sat on a bench and talked for hours, we sat so close to each other that I could smell his perfume. He smelled nice. I looked at him and he was smiling. His dimples showing. He was so handsome.
I keep thinking why, why did he want to get to know me. I felt like I was too normal for someone like him. He probably had tons of famous friends he could hang out with. And like he was reading my thoughts he said

"I didn't expect you to come. I'm really happy you did"

Suddenly he grabbed my hand and I looked up at him in surprise.
"I've been wanting to do that since you came tonight"

I could see his smile widen still looking out over the river.
He then turned to me and I had trouble keeping the eye contact. His eyes were glowing from the lights around us and that smile. How can someone look so beautiful.

"It's nice to see you again" he said and I smiled looking at him again, feeling bold I laced our fingers together.

We went for a walk in the park and talked about everything and nothing. Just getting to know each other. The things I knew about San were only things I've read so it was nice getting to see the real him. We talked about our families, school, about his life in Ateez.

Our hands were still laced together and I blushed when I looked down at them.

"Are you hungry? I know a little place not too far from here that's open, it's usually not that crowded this late so I like it" I asked
"Yeah I could eat something"

The rest of the night the conversation was light and fun. The restaurant closed up but we kept on walking around till we realized the sun was coming up.
"I really have to get back now" he said looking kind of sad
"Me too, my phone has been vibrating in my pocket all night, guess my friends is looking for me"
"When can I see you again?" he asked
"It's you who have a schedule to follow so you tell me"
"I'll text you"
I nodded and gave him a shy smile.
"Cute" he said with a quiet voice
I blushed and looked down.
He waved in a cab and before he got in he gave me a quick hug.
"I'll call you after practice tonight"

I went to the subway and pulled up my phone. 16 missed calls from my friends.
I answered even though I knew they were all sleeping by now. I told them I got a headache and went home to sleep.
When I got home all I could think about was how all this could be real.

He had held my hand and hugged me. His constant smiles and the way he listened to me it all felt so real but at the same time like a dream.

Did he like me? I think I liked him. No, I did like him. A lot.
After hearing him talk about his life and family I felt like I got to know the real him. And the real him made my heart flutter.
